David Silva Transplant

David Silva, the Manchester City playmaker, has had a hair transplant. I was wondering a few weeks ago what others think about it. I do not know how to get pictures on the forum from the internet sadly so these are links to pictures on Google. As you can see on the first link, he had receded quite a lot. The second picture clearly shows him post-transplant with all the redness visible along the hairline. He kept his hair short for a year like that. Then in December 2018 he started to let it grow again. I actually think it looks really good in the 3rd link. Much better than in the 4th-6th links when it is grown out. I couldn't decide if it is an unnatural looking transplant or if it just seems unnatural seeing a soccer player with hair after a year of seeing them bald every week. I think the former because in picture 3, I think he looks great. Although the design is good, it seems too dense all the way through. I am not a fan anyway.

What do you guys think? Natural or unnatural and why?

The lack of density between new and old hairline is a problem and maybe he will address that in the summer.  Not the worst HT I've ever seen but it could be better.

I'd give it 6-6.5/10

I think the lack of density isn't noticeable when it is long, although there are gaps but these could occur naturally anyway. You'd expect that anyway as it is only the illusion of density and not density itself. I can't quite pinpoint what it is about the hairline that I don't like but that is the problem for me. It just doesn't look right.

Has been looking good in recent weeks. Speaking of footballers and hair transplants, it looks like Christian Eriksen may be looking at another procedure. Think he had one around 2014 at a young age (21-22) and it resulted in a marked improvement from where he was post procedure.

Fast forward 5 years and looks like he has lost more of his native hair in the front and crown (clear bald spot developing). Still looks in a better position compared to pre-transplant but not sure for how long for as hair loss has clearly progressed and he may be looking at another procedure in the near future.

Looks pretty dang good to me. If you think this is a 6/10 in hair transplants. You’ll probably really disappointed if you have surgery.

David Silva i believe had a follow up procedure the following year to correct the initial one in which noticeable gaps where left between hairline and transplant.   His result now looks pretty impressive.    He could be subject to future loss though so hope he has conserved appropriate donor in the bank.  Money obviously won't be a problem!

Not able to see the pictures with the "gap", but based on the pictures posted here, this looks like a home run (I don't know the soccer equivalent to my limited sports analogy database lol). It's always nice to see successful HTs done in the public eye... Helps remove that stigma.

In my opinion yes. Or he's the greatest artist known to man in creating a fake hairline. That holds up through 90 minutes of dashing, heading balls and slidetackling.
