Regular Member Bernstein Medical Posted October 29, 2009 Regular Member Share Posted October 29, 2009 In old hair transplant procedures on patient VRI, multiple rows of plugs created a low, broad hairline that forced the patient to wear a hairpiece for years. Four sessions of graft excisions and re-implantation were needed to completely remove and re-distribute the abnormal plugs. Note that there is little trace of the excised grafts. No additional hair was transplanted. Senior Member Blake Bloxham Posted October 29, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted October 29, 2009 Amazing work Dr Bernstein. I always think cases where outdated 'plugs' are reused are quite interesting. The lack of scarring on the forehead and new hairline are both very impressive. Total transformation. Very well done!! Bill - Seemiller
Dr. Bernstein, What a life saving transformation I'm sure. I always feel incredibly bad for patients who've had old school plugs for such a long time. Thanks to today's advancements in surgical hair restoration largely due to your dedication and the dedication of your colleagues, patients can achieve a natural looking head of hair that mimics nature. Excellent job. Bill
