Raymond Konior, MD | Chicago Hair Institute | Frontal Hairline Restoration with 945 Grafts

Recommended Posts

This 39 year old male requested frontal hairline restoration.  His exam revealed an isolated frontal hairline recession with excellent hair characteristics elsewhere.  An FUE harvest was recommended to accommodate his desire to sport different hairstyles which included short hair.  A total of 945 grafts were used to enhance density and shape at the frontal hairline.  Presented here are one year postop pics.  Immediate graft placement pics, one-day and one-week postop pics and density inspection views of the graft zone are included.

Nice! Amazing what 1000 FU can do. What is that circle on his one side for?

The circle was a reminder to remove a small skin tag that was a cosmetic nuisance for the patient.

Thanks for the upbeat comments.

Thanks for the answer!

Back to the main topic: It is amazing how big the impact of a small change of proportions is...

Man this case looks really good and like others have already said, the post op work looks very clean. Congratulations!

this is a great result, is the reason this was achieved with such a small number of grafts due to the fact it was only to bring the hairline down and you didn't have to encroach into his existing hairline because that was also thinning, so is it an illusion of density created by the pre-op hairline?

can we see larger cases from you?

I seem to remember him telling me that these days very few patients return to have their post ops taken. A significant amount are out of Towner's or overseas, so he's somewhat limited in what he can post.

4,312 FUT grafts (7,676 hairs) with Ray Konior, MD - August 2013

1,145 FUE grafts (3,152 hairs) with Ray Konior, MD - August 2018
