Just a quick update on the crown area. I'm 5.5 months post OP now. Certainly feels more hairier when I put my fingers through the crown. Crown was my biggest problem so hoping for more improvements over the next 3 months which In terms of new hairs popping is a very crucial period coming up. Will post a full update in a few months.

Bear in mind all of those hairs will also thicken up to massively create the illusion of density as well. At only 5.5 months, I think that is a brilliant improvement on hair count. My crown took the full 12 months to reach it's full potential.

How’s the hairline looking farsan ?

6 months post OP Asmed Dr Koray Erdogan

This update is the hairline only. Pictures are a bit flattering to be honest. Hoping things start looking more softer and natural in the front, I have corse hair so it's not ideal. It's not as dense as it looks on photos. Will post again at 7 months with full 360 degree photos including crown update.

Everything looks good IMO. The crown may take a full 12-18 months to fully manifest.

I'm sure there will be some Asmed naysayers (some of which seem justified) come along shortly but this looks very impressive to me for 6 months!

What do your friends, family, coworkers say?

Co workers never knew I had it in the first place as I always used fibres. If you look at my pre OP photos I had a lot of hair so was easy to use topikk. Friends think it looks normal but of course I know that it's not completely natural as it is pluggy and probably will require touching up next year. Itll thicken up over the next 3 to 4 months then I'll make a final judgement on the naturalness of the hairline (not overall maturity of the entire transplant as that will take longer) and take it from there.

Are you happy or unhappy ?

the photos in the middle without wording : are they before or after?

It seems like density is less behind hairline, but is this normal ?

Without wording is all after. I have to keep hair long just to cover it. No its not normal i have spoken to 7 top surgeons in the field and other actual experts and each of them separately said it looks like some permanent shock and less than great graft survival, when you consider how much native hair i had this all makes sense. Please dont ask me anymore questions here as im banned.

Must admit, I'm surprised at how this procedure has turned out considering the previous progress photos. Things seemed to be heading in the right direction and remember seeing your 5.5 months picture of the crown and it looked to be coming along nicely but in these pics looks like growth has stalled.

Frontal wise, I can definitely see the point about native hair being shocked. You still had a lot of native hair and apart from the crown, there wasn't what I'd call any real slick bald areas seeing as you were more of a Ludwig scale case rather than a Norwood one. Also believe you were on finasteride well before the procedure so also shows taking it unfortunately provides no guarantee that hair won't be shocked out.

On a positive note, your donor area looks in good shape in the pictures.

I had a similar procedure to you with Asmed in 2016 but for 4000 grafts and my results were probably similar to yours, though I had more hair on top so it's not as sparse and when I style i it doesn't look that bad. Crown is still empty however. I am not completely unhappy with it but I was expecting better. Keep saving up brother and find a surgeon that actually does the surgery.
