Where is the best place to study hair transplantation?

Recommended Posts

Hello!

I am a physician with a lifelong interest in treating hairloss.  I would like to study hair transplantation to one day offer this operation to my patients as well. There are many courses offered by many clinics for example in Dubai (http://ibcme.com/Hair-Transplant-Course-Training-Dubai-UAE/), Poland, (http://transplantacja-wlosow.pl/training?lang=en) Hungary, Turkey (https://www.hairtransplantcenter-turkey.com/hair-transplant-training/) , UK (https://www.restorehairclinics.com/about-fue/training-and-licensing/; https://gethair.co.uk/fue-hair-transplant-training/), India (https://akclinics.org/hair-transplant-training/). Where would be the best place to study this skill?

Do you think it's even possible to start practicing on one's own after a one month long intense learning course?

How many FUE-s should a surgeon perform in one month to maintain a competitive skill?

Thank you!

The ISHRS is probably your best starting point.

Are there any well reputable surgeons near you?

Marwan Saifi from Poland is quite near and offers courses there. He is from ISHRS and the only one listed here: https://ishrs.org/ishrs-approved-fellowship-training-directors/. What do you think of him?

Does anyone know any from Northern Europe?

He seems a decent ethical guy and I cant recall of any bad reviews.  Some people on here went to him for FUT and FUE and were quite pleased.

Imo HLC at this link https://www.hairtransplantcenter-turkey.com/hair-transplant-training/ do by far the best work from these options, among the worlds best in general also for FUE.   I think I saw Dr. Lupanzula in Belgium offered an extended internship or something along those lines also.

There are very few FUE surgeons globally who do good work or that I would have a procedure from even among those who have dedicated their lives to it, very much suspect you'd be looking at at least 6-12 months to provide a competitive service, on top of the fact that hair transplants are ultimately a team effort and finding competent staff and technicians is an extreme difficulty on top of just knowing how to perform the procedure.
