Senior Member Kraistoff Posted September 16, 2020 Author Senior Member Share Posted September 16, 2020 Hello everybody, so 2 years and 2 days after my first procedure of 4500 grafts, and as you who have been following would know, I have been invited back to the clinic. I might start a new thread or continue this one, but I think the below photos speak for themselves. my hair shaft cross - sectional diameter is only 51 microns (average at best) and the contrast between skin and hair colour couldn’t be any higher. For those of you that know anything about hair transplantation these are two of the most important factors with regards to the illusion of density. I believe I was a challenging case given my characteristics. I do have the benefit of having wavy hair which curls as it wishes which help it look thicker. The Dr said my donor area was still perfect, but we agreed on 1500 grafts to be planted into the frontal third. The Dr raised concerns that finasteride didn’t seem to be working as effective as it should for me (perhaps I’ve built a tolerance) and suggested I give Dutaseride a go. Does anyone have any experience of this? my goals is to be able to cut my hair a little shorter than the usual 3/4 inches on top to maintain the illusion of density. It was a pleasure to meet the team again, and it was also a pleasure to meet Dr Patrick Mwamba who was visiting the clinic and was there during my incisions. I will try to not post as much for this procedure - perhaps once every few months . I do hope that I don’t suffer such an ugly duckling phase this time. I also hope that my transplanted Hair from First operation doesn’t suffer shock loss.

I know you mentioned once you would have preferred maybe more hair in those thin areas and not having done the temple points but in your side profile you literally went from 45 to 28. Maybe you lost a bit of weight too and that helps. Hi Kraistoff, Thank you for sharing your photos and especially for sharing the 12 weeks after the first hair transplant vs the 11 weeks after the second hair transplant. The difference is obvious. The hair that didn't shed - existing hair covered the transplanted area a bit and it looks great. Pink skin reveals healthy blood circulation and it will give us beautiful hair in the following months. ⭐ We wish you all the best and waiting for updated photos as well.😊 Suzana Kubinek - Patient Coordinator ASMED Clinic 1 ASMED Surgical Medical Center Dr Koray Erdogan. Senior Member Kraistoff Posted December 24, 2020 Author Senior Member Share Posted December 24, 2020 (edited) Hello everyone hope you are all having a nice Xmas eve At 3 months post 2nd procedure , I decided to cut around my head with my beard trimmer as I basically had my hair the same length all around. I had not cut my hair at all since I last went to Asmed. i was a bit worried that my donor would look bad. I have a colleague at work who went to Georgia for a hair transplant and after 2 ops at around 7k grafts his donor looked see through. In fact, his hair on top looked denser than the back of His head! CHECK MY DONOR OUT ! i think that with a little gel, my hair looks brilliant. I think that this is 90% my first op and 10% second op that didn’t shed, I can definitely see and feel the difference , particularly on the right side (my right) , my left was always the bit I was not 100% happy with and this can be seen even now. I am hoping this fills in. I am hoping the results from the second op will now start to show . I received a lot of grafts in the hairline, despite me mentioning I was happy with the hairline. I hope these begin to show soon . photos below Edited December 25, 2020 by Kraistoff

This is amazing opportunity to inform you about the technique we believe in and use for many years. DES FUE Technique - The technique used in our surgeries is called the DES Method (Dilek-Erdogan Sequential Extraction), created by Dr Koray Erdogan and the head of the medical team, Dilek Çakir. The extraction of the grafts is performed exclusively by using a tool called the "manual punch" that is to date, the most effective way to preserve the donor area of the patient and maximize the number of grafts that can be removed. At the same time, the manual punch ensures the highest quality of extracted grafts with minimal scarring and homogeneous extraction so after healing period is over the donor area looks untouched and healthy. Wish you all Merry Christmas and Happy Upcoming Holidays!!! It was a daunting journey. i receive nothing but positive comments from colleagues about my hair, and people who don’t know I’ve had a hair transplant think I’m a teenager when I’m actually in my early thirties . I have posted photos below under direct bathroom light with hair lifted upwards , in the same lighting with hair combed sideways , some more outside, and then a couple in the car. I have finished it off with a photo of where I started. The clinic has had a load of positive reviews on here, and there were a few negative reviews too which increased after I had my surgery which made it quite nerve racking especially around the 6-7 month mark. My 6 month photos will also be at the bottom of this post . I think my hair improved a fair bit since 6 months , and I now have styled my hair longer on top to make it look thicker . i have my self esteem, confidence and hair back. THANK YOU ASMED TEAM AND DR ERDOGAN We all have our reasons and standards, and I hope the second procedure delivers all you want from it, but this was already an amazing result here at 12 month mark. Natural looking, good density, and I bet most people outside this forum wouldn't even notice the thining behind the hairline that for you made made it less than 100% a success. But here you had already an amazing hairline. Good luck with the new one and well done to the doctor.

I was always happy with the hairline and I never said I wasn’t. i wanted to be able to cut my hair shorter, and my mid scalp not to look thin at that length. due to my hair colour and skin tone to me personally it stood out behind the hairline. I don’t know if this would be different if I had blonde hair . Edited December 26, 2020 by Kraistoff
