FarsanUk
Guys check this dreadful growth on an asmed patient. He just posted it on YouTube. Asmed should be ashamed of themselves. This is NOT a one off this is happening more and more over the past 18 months. This guy is at 9 months. I dont want to hear no BS from people saying hes still go time, this is no where near what it should be at 9 months even for a slow grower. Poor guy, I’m starting to get really worried about my result too. I am told by clinic that it takes time and all will be good. My new coordinator sounds like a nice guy , but he isn’t a hair transplant specialist. We paid a lot of money , so I feel as though we at minimum should be allowed to speak to the surgeon or head tech . We all did research, we all checked the results before we went , we all made an educated decision to go to Asmed. What has changed ?

These continued substandard results coming out of Asmed are just not acceptable. I vote for a moratorium on Asmed being included on the recommendation list until the results start improving and an explanation is offered as to why the quality control has slipped so dramatically. The members of this forum are trying their best, as Kraistoff mentioned, to become well informed and educated about the HT world to avoid these exact predicaments. To simply continue to ignore this inadequacy and keep them on the recommendation list couldn't possibly bode well for this site's repute as an unbiased source of credible information. I would say to anyone looking at before and afters that absolutely do not look at what the clinic posts on forums and its website. Look at patients' own posted reviews and photos because these are your on average results.

Senior Member hairlossPA Posted May 23, 2019 Senior Member Share Posted May 23, 2019 that video is very similar to @Payam, yet the feedback this forum gives is that its not supposed to be true density and you have to style it a certain way and under correct lighting and angles... granted it’s not the result of the OP of this thread so we shouldn’t focus on that one nor other recently bad ASMED results. It is the purpose of any forum to critique. A forum is used to engage in user feedback and response and it isnt a one way streak. Sometimes comments may be a painful thing to swallow. It is up there for a reason. Not to have you accept it blindly. Ask real patients with no agenda as to how they feel for feedback. This result you posted definitely is worrisome. I get more feedback on folks needing repairs and it isn’t just with the surgeon indicated here. There are disclaimers people are afraid of, but shouldn’t be. Courts understand the nature of disclaimers and can see unfair intent in them. Like I mentioned before, if you are raped, but then told to sign another disclaimer to not hold person responsible for the harm caused, the people and law will still hold that person accountable as per law. Elective procedure or not, it is duty of a surgeon to fully inform and not withhold anything. Lets hope the folks having repair issues now can get the proper care soon and can move on with their lives. Edited May 24, 2019 by Sean Te
Administrators Melvin- Admin Posted May 23, 2019 Administrators Share Posted May 23, 2019 Guys, We take all of our patient experiences seriously. We strive to provide a voice for patients, while maintaining fairness for surgeons. We will reach out to Dr. Erdogan, about this result. In light of recent comments about other organizations. I would like everyone to know that we have battled free-speech lawsuits before so that patients have a place to speak and be heard. Silencing patients and removing threads goes against what we stand for, rest assured this type of thing does not go on here. I truly feel that’s why our recommendations stand for something and why this forum is popular. 2 I’m a paid admin for Hair Transplant Network. I do not receive any compensation from any clinic. I have been complaining for some time about the shoddy work i got from ASMED/ERDOGAN. My hairline is now a mess. I have grafts sticking up from hairline with multi grafts used and a scalp scared as fuck which you can see in bright lights because of the pluggy appearance. HT0416 We’ve banned you, because you create multiple accounts and multiple aliases to unfairly malign the surgeon. Part of keeping a well maintained and fair environment is not allowing individuals to pose as multiple people by creating duplicate accounts. This is now your 6th account. This seems to be true in the past with this clinic. At present, the evidence we are all seeing is the exact opposite. Asmed needs to address the quality issues - why the dramatic inconsistency? Huge numbers of grafts and yet still density issues... What was once a sure bet high end, bang for buck clinic (never 100% guaranteed, but as close as it gets) has now become a mill turning out some really below average results; all in the space of a year or so. It's terrifying that a change this drastic is possible.

Dr Erdogan must respond candidly on why this is happening and how he aims to rectify it, otherwise he will loose lots of potential patients and they will either go to other better clinics in other parts of the world even if cost is higher or to his much cheaper competitors in Turkey.
Senior Member kw877 Posted June 22, 2019 Author Senior Member Share Posted June 22, 2019 I’m wondering if anyone knows how I can reliably count how many grafts per sq cm I have that have grown? I used a ruler and photoshopped a square over different parts and I’m getting 15-18 grafts per square mostly. I had 3070 grafts to cover a 70sq space, a large part of which was put into the space behind my hairline which needed not many at all. I’m thinking I should have around 45-50 per sq cm in the front. 15-18 is not even close.
Regular Member maltesefalcon Posted June 26, 2019 Regular Member Share Posted June 26, 2019 More shocking results from ASMED. I was seriously considering ASMED before opting for another surgeon in Istanbul. Glad I did now, after seeing thread after thread of what appears to be a dramatic decline of consistency / quality over the past 1-2 years. This goes to show that reputation + price can become almost worthless overnight.
Senior Member kw877 Posted July 9, 2019 Author Senior Member Share Posted July 9, 2019 I got in touch with the clinic to ask about the density of the implanted area. Apparently I had 49-50 grafts per sq cm. After using a ruler and taking macro pics of my transplanted area, I was counting less than 20 in most spots. Which means less than half of the grafts took. There’s no wonder it looks like it’s does. Booking a consult with Diep when I have the time to have a professionals opinion.
