Im planning on getting a HT later this year and he was on my list. Seen a few results on here though recently which have made me unsure

There are a few very vocal people who are happy with their results on this forum (even they had to go back for a second procedure though, oddly enough). However, I think the latest results from the last year or 2 speak for themselves. Regardless of the constant bickering between the happy patients and unhappy patients, look at the results posted by real people and make your mind up that way. However my advice would be to not look at anything that is more than 2 years old, the clinic doesn't operate the same way it did back then. They don't operate the same way as they did even a year ago in fact. New clinic, many more patients per day, lots of new techs etc.

Go with whatever your gut tells you. Look at recent patients pictures posted by the actual patients. They have nothing to gain and are unbiased. Once your grafts are gone you won't get them back, don't make your decision lightly.

Thought Id try and measure how many grafts per cm2 I have. I counted 26. I expected a lot more. As it is now, I'm having to cover the whole area with hair from behind. If I move my hair to the side, it looks super pluggy and thin. As you can see from the pictures, its the entire hairline. I know Im probably being impatient but realistically these gaps aren't going to fill in. If there's been no growth for over 6 months in those areas, I just can't see it ever growing. Theres no stubble or thin hairs, just skin.

Well, the red square really looks like the worst spot and if you look to the either side of it, while I am not counting, it looks like low 40's to me. I think low 40's is pretty good for where you are planting in bald areas on a first procedure.

Well I did count it and it’s not low 40s, it’s half that. Look at the second picture, it’s the same all over. There are no worse spots, I could part it anywhere and it’s the same.

Yeah does look gappy that. Is that where your original hair meets new hairline?

All of the transplanted area is like that, it’s just parted through the center of the transplanted area on second pic.

I had my hair transplant 3 weeks after yours and i have still the same problems. My density looks like <10 grafts per cm^2.

Did you go to asmed? How many grafts did you get and where? Any pics? Sorry for all the questions! Just the more people that share info/results the better the forum will be.

Maybe there come a wonder in the next 6 months, but I don't think so. There are to much gaps and nearly no growth. I think that at this stage there should be much more growth visible. Now I try to rescue the grafts by using rogaine.

My bald spots have stayed bald, don’t think I’ve seen any cases have new growth after 6 months, just maturation though I could be wrong. Just feel horribly depressed at the thought of being stuck like this.

Must admit it looks gappy. I just passed my 7th month mark and struggling with same problem. Hairline with quite big gaps with no hair inbetween. To be honest , i dont think there will be more growth in hairline area, for either of us. We just need to wait untill transplanted hair mature fully and hope that it will give a better dense look. Uploading my pics taken today. Will also make a update in my thread with in a few days

This is very similar to my result from Asmed. They seem to have got it totally wrong with hairlines. I am happy with the rest of the work they did however.

My advice to anyone is consider Asmed for big jobs, anything behind the hairline. For hairlines, you need a surgeon who does the entire thing himself, no tech's, just the artistry of the surgeon. Your hairline is what frames your face and makes the biggest difference to your appearance - don't let tech's do that. Also, don't try and convince your surgeon to lower your hairline too much, it will never look good.

You'll have to pay more but you get what you pay for.

It’s cost me $10k+ with the flights, flying from west coast USA is so long and expensive. I can’t afford a fix so I just hope they stand by their guarantee, they seem to with many others.

Are you sure you want to risk it mate? There are some amazing doctors in the us that can repair you, they have long waits and are expensive but well worth it to put this god awful experience behind you

Asmed got back intouch with me yesterday to see how i am doing and whether i decided in going back to let them fix me up. I asked a few questions as i have major concerns whether they have the ability to create a natural hairline. 1 of the questions asked does dr erdogan/techs split the multi hair grafts up to single grafts if they dont extract enough singles from donar, the co-orinator replied asmed only uses natural hair grafts and doesn't split any grafts up. so basically that sums up to why everyone is getting botched hair transplants from asmed with multi hair grafts infront on hairline. They dont extract and use enough singles!!!!!

Literally don’t have the money mate. Spent $70k+ in surgeries the last 3 years and it’s wiped me out. The HT was the last thing on my list and I think I’ve screwed myself with it lol

@kw877 @munich @MHR84 you all went to ASMED???

will admit these definitely leave a lot to be desired... but wait the 12 months. That's all the advice you'll get from the moderators and community until 12 months hit.

If people can afford touchups, I definitely agree with the previously stated advice of going to a more refined/hairline specialist. ASMED seems to have more high NW cases which can provide coverage very well, but not as much attention to detail around the hairline like stated in this thread and others.

Hang on...
