[Who's the Best Doctor to Fix the Hairline]

Recommended Posts

Hello guys,

i'm new to this forum and i'm really thinking to fix my hairline.

I'm a Norwood 2.

This is my goal: fixing the hairline and the temples area.

I don't care abut fixing the rest. From what i have been able to see trying to fight against hair loss with the hair transplant is a rabbit hole and results are never going to be 100% satisfactory.

I'm trying to find a doctor who's a master at fixing the hairline and able to give natural results.

Like the transplant that had George Clooney just to give you an example.

When the hair behind will keep falling i'm going to use a hairpiece for the rest of the scalp.

Yes i know, the mantainance of this "witchery" is going to be crazy but in order to have a decent hairline and a head full of hear i don't see any other realistic solution.

For the result i'm trying to achieve i think that this is the best/more realistic option.

I'm trying to find a surgeon who's able to perform my request (lowering the hiarline of one centimeter and fixing the temples). I was thinking at Dr Diep but i have seen on this forum some stories that are not exactly exciting about him.

Cheers

I would be weary of wanting results like George Clooney, most movie stars use partial hair systems. Like Clooney and Matthew McCaunghey, our community recommends surgeons with a proven track record of consistent results, I would recommend taking a look at our recommendations and look up patient reviews. Age appropriate hairlines will always dictate what an ethical doctor chooses to do for you, if your hair loss history is deemed aggressive or unstable then no ethical doctor will want to advance your hairline beyond where it already is because most men are a Norwood 2 naturally with age, even without full blown male pattern baldness.

@Melvin-HTsoon

How do you know that Clooney is having hair system?

Back to question. If it comes to hairline i would chose dr Feriduni or Rahal.

Clooney has just great hair and no transplant. It just appears that way, cause he shaved his hairline in ER (Simliar to V. Karheiser in Mad Men). Therefore, you will never reach his status even with the best clinic.

If you have minmal loss, only looking for the hairline and you have great hair/skin characteristics you can get a great, natural result. You should go to a clinic with specializes on that and dr. doing most of the work) My favorits for such cases:

- Konoir (he is above the others for such a case and would be my choice but waiting list and prices are insane)

- Couto

- Keser

- HLC

- Kaan (reltively unkown as he is not long independent but much cheaper than the rest)

- Lupanzula

From the clinics with a more technician based approach, who still do great hairline work I like:

- Rahal

- Feriduni

The latter one would be on top of my list also for bigger cases. For Rahal I would prefer FUT in case of bigger areas.

I'm pretty sure that George Clooney's hairline is all natural, native hair. I've seen no evidence that he's had a transplant and heard plenty about him shaving it. In fact I've examined closely some of the hi-res, outdoor photos that exist of him at events and I've seen signs of clipped hairs at his hairline. His hairline isn't even amazingly dense if viewed up close.

Italianchange, why don't you post some photos for us to assess?

Hi guys and thank you all for you replies.

I'll attach a few pictures so you can figure out what we are talking about.

Please notice: i fully understand that there are people who are in a much worse condition then me that would pay/kill for being in my condition at 35. So i don't want to offend the sensibility of anyone if some of you think that in my scenario a hair transplant is unnecessary. I work in a very competitive industry so i have a point of view that is different from a normal person.

My goal would be fixing the temples and receding the hairline a little bit.

Now, unfortunately from what i have seen is very rare to achieve a result that looks natural on the harline because, from what i have seen, the "transplanted hairline" tend to look thinner then a natural thick hairline.

So i'm really trying to make my mind.

Hair transplant or hair piece.

If the hairline doesn't look great i might end up combing the hair down in some sort of fringe (like i should do with the hair piece) but unfortunately this kind of haircut doesn't look great on me and i would eventually get the same result that i would get with a hair piece but having the pain in the ass of passing through a surgical operation.

Here some pics so you can see what i'm talking about

@Gasthoerer

What's the price and waiting time for dr Konoir?

Best is you contact the clinic. I read in here some members claimed 1 year wait for consultation, 1-2 for surgery and 9-10 Dollar per FUE graft.

With you type of loss, whic appears to be hairline and temples this pics are worthless. We Need to see the porportions (1/3 rule) from front and side to estimated the required amount of grafts.

Of course a transplant is just an Illusion, but it can be a good one. Just look at the top cases in here.

what is the 1/3 rule?

I don't now about that.

Yes of course the transplant is an illusion. My fear is to make the transplant and ending up like this guy:

or this guy

if you get a result like that is very noticeable that they had a trasplant and IMHO for this kind of result is better wearing a hair piece or getting micropigmentation

I've posted evidence with photos on another hairloss website that I can't be bothered to here (and can't post the link because of site rules) but Clooney 100% uses partial pieces and has done so over the past 20 years. A couple photos where the piece is very obvious. Not to say he's slick bald or even past NW2, but I'd bet good money he wears regularly. Natural hairlines don't drastically change shape, height, density, texture and shape seemingly on a weekly basis as his does.

I'd also add Freitas to that list, in my opinion he does better hairline work than than any others in the FUE realm. Of course the Spanish patients help though. Not even sure if its worth mentioning Couto anymore with his waiting times. I'd put Baubac at the top level for FUE in the United States also, Konior has less than 15 FUE results online also (all immaculate however) and they're each under 3000 grafts, mostly around 2000 or less so it's not a great comparison to some of these other options in my opinion.

I have a consultation with Freitas in next year on April. His waiting list is 1,5 year... procedure year after.

But as far as I know he won't operate without finasteride :(

I agree wih Baubac. Freitas is not on my list and I have to check him out. The comment about Konior does not make sense: We are talking about smaller hairline cases in particular. Transplants >3000 grafts are not required and non of the "do it yourself" clinics are a good choice if you want to go in a single session with a more than 2000 FU.

And Clooney is all natural I am very sure. He just shaved his hairline when he was younger. His "transplant" or "partial piece" is just a urban myth by jealous hair loss sufferers like us.

Still, on Konior he seems to be a favourite of endless posters but you simply can't compare 15 results online of Konior's FUE to what is close to a thousand of clinics like Lorenzo and Erdogan's. Even Feriduni and Bisanga for example have over 100, I can't see how it's not silly to look at 12-15 results (half of them posted by the clinic who are picking the best obviously) and ranking him at the top for FUE. Freitas is definitely among the very top in my opinion for both smaller and mid sized sessions.

Very sure on Clooney, I did a fairly detailed post of photos on another hairloss site and realistically the chance that he's not using hair pieces regularly is virtually 0. A hairlines height, shape, density and texture doesn't change every time the wind blows. He may have shaved it in the late 90s but the changes are endless from 1999-2018. I'm not talking about a once off change like the shaving for ER, there's at least 10 completely different hairlines in between, some of them are very clearly hairpieces, whether for movie roles or not.

Found you "proof" thread and no way Clooney wears a wig. There is one supicous pic with bad resolution. All Close ups are pristine and clearly no wig, sorry.

I partly agree about Konior's lack of examples. But the examples which exist are really out of this world. Erdogan has many results and is a great choice if you Need > >2500 FU and get a fair price. But he is no hairline specialist by all means.

It's clearly not just one photo and there are multiple drastically different hairlines there, but obviously not going to be convinced.

On the other point what I meant was that when looking at a surgeon like Erdogan with a sample size of 200-1000 results you have a good idea of what you're going to get, realistically the 15 or so Konior results available online (with half being clinic posted) tell very little. Rahal for example has had multiple approaches to FUE in a fairly short period of time and a more than average number of cases with poor results, he's easily at the very top level of hairline design and protocol but there's no way I'd put him there for FUE considering his consistency and I think most would agree. The reality is that people are placing Konior at the top level of FUE because they're looking at his reputation for FUT. When first considering a second surgery I emailed Konior asking if he had a wider range of FUE results he could send and he refused saying he didn't need to because he had enough of a waiting list already. On the one hand he's telling the truth, but realistically it's nonsensical put someone with an absolutely tiny FUE sample size who refuses to show more FUE cases at the top level of FUE hairline surgeons.

I saw him before. Still he has great hair. Better example is Mark Wahlberg whio brothers are balding.

My 3 years younger(26) brother is almost bald. I wouldbe fine if not my stupid act in teenage years.

But still, this was only one argument, pictures make me question Clooney's hair.

Back to Brad Pitt, i would kill for his hair, but his hairline is not absulutley perfect. https://jastrzabpost.pl/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/brad-pitt.png

I personaly would not want perfect hairline anyway.

Genes are unpredictable. This is a pic of famous bollywood father-son duo. The father was wearing wigs in his 30s and son hasn't lost a strand at 40.
