Regular Member WAYNED1991 Posted May 3, 2018 Regular Member Share Posted May 3, 2018 Hey guys, can anyone recommend a good saw palmetto brand? One that is effective and more likely to work? Also are there any side effects even though it's just a vitamin? Thanks
Administrators Melvin- Admin Posted May 3, 2018 Administrators Share Posted May 3, 2018 Saw Palmetto should all be the same, it’s more about the dosage. However, I don’t believe it does anything for hair loss. But it doesn’t hurt to try, side effects are rare. I’m a paid admin for Hair Transplant Network. Senior Member Shera Posted May 3, 2018 Senior Member Share Posted May 3, 2018 I'd second that having tried it a good few years back. I wouldn't recommended relying on it alone to sustain your hair.

Senior Member voxman Posted May 4, 2018 Senior Member Share Posted May 4, 2018 Nature's Way, Puritan Pride, Heinz, all good brands. Interesting to see on YouTube the guys recommending it - they're all bald... I'm serious. Just look at my face. My Hair Regimen: Lather, Rinse, Repeat. Senior Member splitting hairs Posted May 10, 2018 Senior Member Share Posted May 10, 2018 Don't bother with saw palmetto. I continued to lose hair on it for a few years. I then jumped on propecia and 10 years later No further hair loss. _________________________________________________ Propecia since July 2008 2201 Grafts with Dr Lorenzo on 19.10.22 - See my write up here:
Regular Member WAYNED1991 Posted May 12, 2018 Author Regular Member Share Posted May 12, 2018 Thanks guys. Right now I'm just using finasteride & minoxidil. Would you recommend just sticking with that or add in saw palmetto as well?
Senior Member gillenator Posted May 15, 2018 Senior Member Share Posted May 15, 2018 If it were me, I would not add saw palmetto...the finasteride is sufficient.
