Proscar effectiveness

I have been cutting a 5mg proscar pill four ways and have been taking that every other day for about 20 months. I noticed it working since before every 4 months I would recede a bit. So taking this dose, the hair loss seemed to be halted. I didn't notice any regrowth.

 

However, right at the 17th month, I noticed at both temples, the hair became thin really quick. So is this maybe a shedding? It seems strange because the hair loss was halted and all of a sudden the hair in a 2 week period changed so quickly.

 

Does it mean the pill is not effective anymore? Should I increase the dose? Or should I just keep taking it and see what happens?

I’m not sure myself .. but I think ur hairloss is just catching up .. finasteride will only slow it down .. especially the hairline temples where it’s difficult even with meds to Halt nature .. give

It some time n if u need to go with a slightly higher dosage then it’s something u can think about .. u been on it 20 months and noticed the benefits without signicant sides .. then it’s working for u .. I’m on it for 8 months now myself ,, hair don’t fall out as easy .. so it’s helping .. but still worried my hair will get thinner n thinner till it’s gone .. so best
