May i ask where you had your 4 hairtransplants? Anyone of Them done in Denmark? do you have Any pictures before all the hairtransplant or in between the hairtransplants that you Can show us so we Can see how the evolution is/was I noted that you are from Denmark I am Also from Denmark And i had 2 hairtransplant myself 1 in turkey 1 in spain Im not fully happy so im thinking about 1 more ht myself

Senior Member mattj Posted April 12, 2018 Senior Member Posted April 12, 2018 Is it 12,000 hairs or grafts? Grafts have on average 2 hairs per follicular unit, so there is a big difference between the total number of hairs and total grafts. Your donor area looks a bit thin in some of the photos. I think, considering this and the fact that you've had a lot of grafts, you'd be best off being seen in person before booking surgery. I do think that you probably have enough grafts for a relatively small procedure. I am a patient and representative of Dr Rahal. PeloDinero Posted April 12, 2018 Posted April 12, 2018 Can you provide more detail on your four surgeries? i.e. number of grafts per surgery and extraction method (FUT or FUE). Also, if you're comfortable providing, the surgeon(s) as well. Thanks
kkragelund Posted April 21, 2018 Author Posted April 21, 2018 I got transplanted around 12000 Hairs with FUE. It would be really nice if its possible to cover the crown with the the 5th translant :-)
Senior Member home1212 Posted April 21, 2018 Senior Member Posted April 21, 2018 it looks like your donor may already be maxed out as you have noticeable thinning areas in the back even with longer hair, a reputable surgeon would probably not over-harvest your donor and cause it to look worse, you may want to consider concealer for your crown or possibly body hair as a secondary donor source, best of luck
Senior Member mattj Posted April 23, 2018 Senior Member Posted April 23, 2018 12,000 hairs will be just shy of 6,000 grafts in the way that most surgeons keep count, considering what I said before about a follicle containing on average slightly more than 2 hairs. Most patients will have quite a few 3-hair follicular units. That's a lot of grafts to have had extracted via FUE. Best advice is to seek out reputable surgeons for in-person consultations so that your donor can be examined up close. I know I said that before, but I'm repeating it now with more emphasis.
