Yeah I suspect I might have some thyroid issues ,, n thought the excessive sweating was just my High metabolism .. n the thinning hair was just me aging .. I’m only 39 though .. with no known family history of hair loss .. so I think my mpb is not aggressive , but if health issues is also thinning my hair, I fear my hair loss will get worse ..

i have an Apple Watch .. n it checks my heat rate bpm.. it’s usually on the high end 100bpm that fluctuates constantly .. usually when ur hair is thinning or falling out easily n it’s not aggressive MPB  it’s our body telling us something is not right with our health.  .. well keep us updated on ur progress.. ur hair is lookin good though .. the thick hairline will mask the thinning on top ..

Six months. I can still feel some stubble here and there, so more growing ahead, I hope.  I know how I want my hair cut, longer on the top, and front. Short on the back and sides. As short as I can get it without the FUT scar showing through. I tried giving myself a cut, and pretty much failed. They made it look so easy on YT. When it grows back out somewhat I'll have a barber give me what I want.
Been using my DHT blocking shampoo for a month now. Even though it's way too soon to think about any results, I like using it so far.
I've had a few people tell me I look different.  I haven't told anybody about the HT. Used to part it in the middle, and had kind of bangs. I much prefer being able to comb my hair back without worrying about the plugs showing through.  That right there is worth the cost to me.

I expect, and hope, it continues to thicken up over the following months.  Would I do it all over again..? In a heartbeat.   One of the best things I've ever done for myself.  It's a self esteem boost for sure.

Everything looks great, my hair was very curly in the beginning also, it will straighten out by 12 months. Tbh your results look amazing. Night and day difference already and it’s only 6 months.

Yield looks excellent and the hair will mature. I'd like to see some more irregularities but it looks really good and tons better that where you started.

ur results looks excellent .. u don’t look ur age .. at first I was worried u went with diep for an fut when he’s a fue specialist .. n occurred a bit of shock less in beginning ..  but it grew back well .. I’m most impressed that u still had a lot of native hair in the recipient area n he was able to transplant into it without causing much harm n still have great growth .. I be transplanting into native hair also .. so was worried he won’t be able to dense pack my hairline because it’s not totally bald ..

thanks for the updates dan . Been watching ur thread from the beginning .. gives me some relief n assurance for my upcoming surgery ..

p.s what was ur hair native hair caliber on the top of ur scalp ? Was it thin, medium or  still thick ., I’m worried since my top is still dense but the hair caliber is thin n hair is not as dark as when I was younger ..

Thanks Legend, I really appreciate it. It's so reassuring when people give positive comments.

If I had to guess, I'd say the hair caliber on top is probably medium.

Seven months post op. I don't think much has changed since last month.

First picture is at three months post op.  I took two pictures today in the bright sun, when HT's tend to look their worst, imo.

Honestly, it looks fantastic even in the bright sun, huge improvement. 7 months is still early too, you will continue to see thickening and the hairs will look better overall in the coming months.

A few more pictures. I got a haircut yesterday, and told the barber I wanted it as short as possible without the scar showing through. He said he used a 1 1/2, and I can just make out the scar. So this is as close as I can get it.

That’s super short, I can’t really make it out myself. The light skin and hair certainly make it wven more difficult to detect.

SWdan, great story , impressive results . Very inspiring.

Go there again when you are 81 so that you can have the record of being Dr. Diep’s oldest patient ?

lol...wouldn't that be great.  Thanks for the kind words.

Hey Legend, Dr. Diep can't have had too any patients in their sixties. I'm sure he'd remember me, tell him I said hello too.  And thanks.
