So, today i had my first haircut after my HT. I asked the girl if she noticed any difference in hair density or scaring on my donor (she only shaved my sides). She said that she honestly doesn't see any difference, and she would know, she cuts my hair for the last 6 years or so.

Personally i do see the difference, but that is because i know that i had a HT :)

To me the donor area looks very good with no visible difference from before, and i am guessing that it will recover some more in the next few months.

This was my donor three years ago, before i had any operation done... i think that i never had thick donor hair and my donor zone was never dense like it is with some other people with hair loss. Also, it seems that diffuse tipe of hair loss is always accompanied by weak donor hair/zone. Not sure but i think that i never saw diffuse HL with a dense and thick donor.

I think you just have very fine hair. Considering more than 4000 grafts were taken from your donor area, it still looks good to me! You still might have another 2k in the bank which means your donor is not really weak at all. I wouldn't call it strong either but very normal. But hey, this is just my opinion. I'm no expert ;)

Keeping an eye on this thread.

I'm wanting a HT, and am looking at Doganay at the moment.

I think I'd need about 2000 grafts to straighten my hairline and fill in the balding corners.

Just hoping I can afford whatever he charges!

Good luck, OP

It's been 3 months since my HT... for now i don't have anything to say about transplanted hair growth. It is very difficult for me to notice small hair because of my diffuse hair loss, but I do see some new hair growing...

Donor does look better than a month before, right?

I just had a haircut so here is an update. I got the same haircut as always, very short on the sides and it looks good to me. Also i do see a lot of new hair growing everywhere, especially on my temples and hairline...so i am hoping to report only new hair growth from now on. :)

It has been 5 months from my HT and i am starting to see some results. There is hair growing everywhere but it is still weak and thin. My hair growth wasn like some other people here, i havent seen any growth until 3,5 months, and it is noticeable just in the last two or three weeks. I am hoping that it continues like this...

I just had my first real haircut after the HT, last one was just the sides, and this is the first time i see the results of the hair transplant...and it looks great. :)

I really hope that improvements continue like this.

I compared pictures after my haircut in 11 month last year and the one from today.

It has been six months from my 2nd HT and i will try to describe my results at this moment...

This time around i can really say that i got a solid result because i got coverage all over my thinning scalp and my hair looks much better than 7 months before,  but i did expect more density, especially in the front. It does look good when it is combed but i can't really style my hair the way i want because when i use styling products you see the lack of density.

Also i did notice one thing that bothers me very much; my middle part of the hairline and the area behind is not as dense as the other parts of the hairline, and that was my main goal for this HT. I wanted to have the same solid density on my hairline and 2cm behind hairline. Maybe it gets a bit better in the next few months...

hi mate, nice progress so far.

how would you compare Doganay vs Erdogan? I've seen great things from Erdogan too...

Also, do you have any views / feedback on Doganay using body hair? I have a very weak donor area at the back of my head and have heard Dogonay is an expert at body hair transplants.....though i'm unsure of his results with this...

Hello and thx, it is good for now, but i wish i had done more grafts...

My subjective opinion is that both of them are great doctors.

Dr. Erdogan was not the right choice for me because in more than two and a half months and 15 mails and many, many pictures and explanations i still didn't know if he will take me as a patient. I am guessing that he didn't want to take me because i have diffuse hair loss and thin donor hair so i wouldn't be an amazing result. To be honest the whole proces of selection from dr Erdogan left me feeling little bit angry and disappointed because he never gave an explanation for all the questioning. I contacted 2 other doctors and thay were satisfied with the amount of pictures,my description of my hair loss, my medical history and finally with my expectations from HT. Also, i did notice that 90% of his patients are people with small hair loss, nw2 or 3, with great thick hair on top and an amazing donor hair, and i just don't fit in there because my hair loss is little more complicated than just filling empty space with loads of hairs.

Dr. Doganay had great results, with the excepion of the year 2015, and had many similar cases of hair loss patients as my. He did ask a few questions before (about my first Ht, my other surgery) but not like dr. Erdogan, and he could book my HT when it suited me, which was very important because of my work schedule. It was easy decision for me.

Honestly, i dont know much about BHT except for the fact that Dr. Doganay does it and Dr. Erdongan doesnt.
