Regular Member Mickah17 Posted December 26, 2017 Regular Member Posted December 26, 2017 Hello, I finally took the plunge and went for my HT choosing Dr. Yaman in Istanbul, Turkey. My experience was very good and went exactly as previous reviews have mentioned on here. Arrived wed 20th and collected by a driver and brought to 5* Divan Suite hotel. Rested up and next morning at 11am brought to Dr yamans clinic. Here I was greeted by Fikret and had blood tests which check for any diseases and also for PRP. I had consultation next with Dr Yaman and the graft amounts agreed and surgery began about 12.45pm. I won't get into too much detail but surgery took approx 9hours with a 20 min break at 6.00pm. Dr Yaman performed PRP and opened all channels. Technicians performed extractions and placements of graphs with Dr Yaman checking in. I was taken back to hotel and ate some food and rested up. I slept using a travel pillow which is given to you . next morning I was brought back to clinic where I had bandages removed and had first wash. I asked my questions and was given my medication to use for the next 7-10 days. I am currently on day 5. I am posting images of how my hair was pretty operation and also post surgery pictures which are stamped with the day post surgery. I have also included 3 images showing my donor area day 4 post op. I am currently taken 0.6mg finestriade every 3 days as I am very paranoid over sides. I bought this from the clinic. So will see how I get on with it for few months. I'm also taking Xpecia tablets x2 a day for past 5 weeks and vitamins. Any questions I will answer and any comments I greatly appreciate. Thank you Mick
Regular Member Mickah17 Posted December 30, 2017 Author Regular Member Posted December 30, 2017 ****Day 9 - Update***** Scabs 95% gone, shed beginning. Have good few hairs in my hand after washing . washing twice a day since yesterday to clear remaining scabs and crust. Thanks Mick
Pleeny Posted January 1, 2018 Posted January 1, 2018 Looks great, thanks for sharing your experience. I don't see any redness on your donor area, did it get red at all?
Regular Member Mickah17 Posted January 1, 2018 Author Regular Member Posted January 1, 2018 Thanks very much! I didn't have any redness I'm donor area for the first 5 days. But once the hair started to grow back I had little redness for 3 days. What I did have though was very sore nerve pain for approx 4 days. This began 4th day post op when the anaesthetic wore off in donor area. Pain post FUE is not very common but can happen as the nerves that have gone through trauma begin to repair. Took plenty of painkillers and also took vitamin b complex. Any other questions I'll be glad to answer. Thanks Mick
Pleeny Posted January 1, 2018 Posted January 1, 2018 Interesting, I've never heard any of what you just said before, it will definitely help me since my procedure is in just few days, thanks and I hope you get the result that you want.
Senior Member lukeyb1687 Posted January 2, 2018 Senior Member Posted January 2, 2018 Hey Mick, Your work looks great! Very excited to see how your result turns out! I am 19/20 days post op (Dec 13) from 3500 FUE and i can say that I had the nerve pain that you are describing on the donor area, it's still tender to touch but has subsided drastically. I would say I am approx 90% better now. Good luck on the shed phase, mine started about a week ago and I certainly noticed it the last couple of days. Daily pictures to remind yourself will help. Good luck buddy! http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/188512-3500-scheduled-dr-cinik-12-12-a.html 12/2017 - 3500 Grafts- Dr. Emrah Cinik Follow my progress:

Ye I had quit severe pain for 2-3 days then moderate to light pain for another 2 days. All good now though, I get the odd little stinging pain now n again but nothing too bad. Yep i m expecting the shed any week now to be more noticeable. Your pics look great too. Happy growing. Thanks Mick

Regular Member Mickah17 Posted January 5, 2018 Author Regular Member Posted January 5, 2018 ***Update Day 15** Got first barber cut yesterday before the shed takes full effect. Short back and sides with a fade. No visible scarring from FUE.
Senior Member MattyNJ1 Posted January 5, 2018 Senior Member Posted January 5, 2018 Looks right on target. If you take the camera OFF reverse selfie mode, it takes higher definition pictures...just a suggestion. 12/11/17 2500 FUE Grafts with Dr. Steven Gable
Regular Member Mickah17 Posted January 5, 2018 Author Regular Member Posted January 5, 2018 Ya I will take a higher definition today or tomorrow!! Cheers
Senior Member lukeyb1687 Posted January 5, 2018 Senior Member Posted January 5, 2018 The cut looks pretty solid! I did mine at 21 days, as the shed was happening, now wishing I did it earlier haha! Happy growing!! 12/2017 - 3500 Grafts- Dr. Emrah Cinik Follow my progress:
Regular Member nik1990 Posted January 5, 2018 Regular Member Posted January 5, 2018 lol got a transplant on the same day at another clinic though! did your post op instructions say you could shave the donor area? any scarring at all... i cant buzz or shave until a month! what did they say about the recipient area, im stuck til three months post until i can buzz
Regular Member Mickah17 Posted January 6, 2018 Author Regular Member Posted January 6, 2018 Hi nic, My instructions were I can use a clippers on donor area after 15 days. The barber went a bit heavy with the clippers and could feel a little tenderness still. But fine. No visible scarring at all. Follow ur surgeons advice though. How has ur donor healed up? A light buzz prob won't do much harm. Maybe ask ur doctor and see what he says.
Regular Member nik1990 Posted January 7, 2018 Regular Member Posted January 7, 2018 donors healed up alright, however still feels a bit tight/ tender. so might give it a bit longer
Regular Member Mickah17 Posted February 23, 2018 Author Regular Member Posted February 23, 2018 ***Update - Day 64 *** Hi, Just giving a little update. I am presuming all of my shedding has finished a couple weeks ago due to the fact that I don't have any hairs in my hands when I wash my hair. I reckon I only shed about 70% of my grafts. I am hoping this is a good thing. I am attaching some pictures of how I look now. Waiting patiently for some new growth which I hope will start in the next 2/3 months. Any questions I will be glad to answer. Thanks Mick
Glacius20 Posted March 2, 2018 Posted March 2, 2018 Hi, i am italian, i look very similar to you. I will follow your ht, maybe i could make an idea of the possible result... i would have an ht like you, and then microtricipigmentation for a look with short hair...
Seniormido Posted March 2, 2018 Posted March 2, 2018 I am 2 weeks postoperative but my head is still full of scabs with few blood clots. The experience is generally good, the doctor and hospital staff are really nice but i have some complaints about the care after the operation. I will post a detailed review about my experience later on.
Regular Member ViciousKeepLeftSign Posted March 16, 2018 Regular Member Posted March 16, 2018 How did you find the experience there?
historyman5 Posted April 5, 2018 Posted April 5, 2018 Your density will improve furthermore, Hope! Yes, density will be increased within 6-9 months!
Regular Member Mickah17 Posted September 5, 2018 Author Regular Member Posted September 5, 2018 ****8 month update ***** Here is my 8 month update. I am very happy with result so far. I usually keep a tight 1-zero blade fade at back and sides but have let it grow out for few weeks so I can show donor area recovery. Thanks Mick
Senior Member lukeyb1687 Posted September 5, 2018 Senior Member Posted September 5, 2018 Hi Mickah17, Glad that you're happy, ultimately that's all that matters right? :) Certainly a vast improvement from where you were before. Are you considering a 2nd go around to fill in the area behind the hairline? 12/2017 - 3500 Grafts- Dr. Emrah Cinik Follow my progress:
