Regular Member Michael Vories, MD Posted December 15, 2017 Regular Member Share Posted December 15, 2017 This African-American patient came in for his 6 month follow up yesterday, after receiving 1500 FUE grafts into his hairline and bilateral apex areas. A test case was performed to ensure that the tissue could be extracted with minimal transection, and the test case was successful. In our practice, we see about 20% of patients of African descent have a distinct curl to the tissue that prevents successful harvesting with a straight punch. Grafts were placed with Hans Lion Implanters, and all tissue was harvested and placed by Dr. Vories. LonelyGraft
Dr Vories did you train with dr Lorenzo? What type of device do you use for extraction? What size punch was used for this patient?
Regular Member Michael Vories, MD Posted May 6, 2019 Author Regular Member Share Posted May 6, 2019 Dr. Lorenzo was the reason I began using Hans Lion Implanter pens for graft placement. I use the Cole Instruments motorized sharp punch system, and a 0.90 mm punch was used for this patient's extractions.
