This African-American patient came in for his 6 month follow up yesterday, after receiving 1500 FUE grafts into his hairline and bilateral apex areas. A test case was performed to ensure that the tissue could be extracted with minimal transection, and the test case was successful. In our practice, we see about 20% of patients of African descent have a distinct curl to the tissue that prevents successful harvesting with a straight punch. Grafts were placed with Hans Lion Implanters, and all tissue was harvested and placed by Dr. Vories.
