3500 Scheduled with Dr. Cinik 12/12

Recommended Posts

Hey Matt,

Yeah I'm excited about te early growth :)

Oh no I don't have itchiness, have you tried coconut oil to help?

My feelings on the scalp has come back to about 70% which I'm happy about!! That was nerve racking (no pun intended haha)

John, you look great! The redness doesn't seem that bad! How's your donor area doing?

I eat coconut oil every morning but never put it on my scalp lol....yeah i think the itching is the follicles pushing through the surface of the skin....Also yeah feeling is slowly coming back to my scalp (recipient area) prob about 85% now. I will post pics on my post at the 2 month mark. about 5 days from now. Feels good knowing the best is yet to come, and the worst is behind.

I think the coconut oil has helped with my dryness, haven't had much at all. But now you mention the tingles on the head I am feeling them now haha! Funny how our minds are able to manifest a symptom! If only we were able to manifest instant hair growth!!

Excited to see your progress pics!

Regarding the coconut oil.

Are you eating it or massaging it on your scalp?

If you massage it on the scalp, how often do you do it? And how much do you use?

Hi Johnny,

I actually do both. I use coconut oil in my smoothie each morning but also apply about 20 drops of Fractioned Coconut Oil (not the edible form) on my head after the shower in the morning and in the evening when I head to bed. I also mix it with a 1-2 drops of essential oils each (Tea Tree, Ylang Ylang, Geranium, and Frankincense).

Already seeing a lot of white nape like hairs growing through everywhere (But you have to catch them in the right light haha)

But isn’t your scalp pretty oily trough the Day?

When i melt some coconot oil from my fridge and massage it into my scalp, it becomes oily and shiny alot.

Ah! That's because of the coconut oil you might be using.

Fractioned coconut oil is processed differently and is already melted at room temp. It seems to be less oily and more absorbent when it comes into contact with the skin. I personally use DoTerra's version but there are several out there.

Also I only use about 20 drops or so

Hey guys!!! Day 62/63!

Since the last post my head has exploded with even more tiny white foliccles that are growing in length!! I didn't notice until my wife pointed it out in a specific light and boom! Well a lot of little white hairs have pushed through! Although the close up looks kinda gross I am super excited to see them! Welcome to your new home little guys! Now it's time to grow strong and healthy!

I can't wait to post more as more starts to happen!! Happy growing all!

The camera doesn't even capture all the hairs I see but progress is progress!!

Nice results. keep us posted.

just out of curiosity, I have some hair in front of my hair(I cover my bald spots with these ones, lol), after I get into ugly duckling phase, I will lose all the implanted hair, but will I also lose my own hair that was NOT implanted? I just want to have an idea on how I will look like when I enter that phase.

Hey Dany,

There is a possibility that the non-transplanted hairs will go into shock loss and you may lose those hairs, however they typically grow back after a few months.

On a side note to everyone, I have quite a few hairs that did not fall out during the ugly duckling phase, is this normal? They seem to be growing in length and I trim them every week.

Hoping that they are healthy and just anchored earlier.

Hey Luke! I have a few hairs that didn't fall and are continuing to grow as well. I think they might be what was left of our native hairs that grew back after surgery, who knows.

Btw check out my thread that I just put up the other day! I'm 2 months 2 weeks post op, around the same time as you. I had a strip procedure and i'm glad that the ugly duckling phase is almost coming to an end. I heard 3 months is when you can start expecting growth.

Hitherehair,

I thibj think the mid portion may be the rest around the hairline is transplanted. As I didnt have any hair there befote.

Your scalp must feel a lot of relief now the staples are out! Looking good though!

Hey guys and gals,

I'm approx day 70 today! Not too much has changed except more pimples and little hairs sprouting through!

Redness is almost fully gone (minus the pimples).Donor area looks amazing at this length! Really impressed how well it's covered. I am tempted to shave my head down to a 0 guard again as I think the next 2 weeks I should start to see alot of change.

Looks like I'm getting there, just a game of waiting patiently now! I did trim the hairs last night with scissors as the transplanted hairs seem to be growing at a crazy rate!

It's funny, looking back at all the photos encourages me that so much has changed over the past few weeks alone! I'm starting to look more "human" haha!

Thanks Mick!

Maybe I'll rock the short hair once everything grows in thicker! I'm just looking forward to having some options on styling my hair! Yours looks like it's coming along great, hopefully I get to see the same increase in growth as you did pretty quickly!

It's funny, everytime I catch my hair in different lighting and at different angles I see more and more hairs! Now time for them to get healthy and get some pigmentation!

Hi, your photos and progress looks really good, we are at similar stages and both looking on course for great results. I'm finally past the stage of looking in the mirror constantly but when I do look, now just once or twice a day, I am getting more and more excited at progress! Happy times ahead for both of us.

I have my appointment with Dr. Cinik on March 1st. I'm super nervous, but I hope everything works out well. So far your results look pretty good man.

I keep thinking that its not going to look perfect, or even close to perfect, but having some hair filling in my bald areas will give me more confidence than having no hair!

Been lurking on this and other forums for a while and decided to book up last month with Dr Cinik. My appointment is March 6th and I feel the same way as you do Rinaldi. Hopefully everything works out well.

I would also be interested to know if anyone went to nearby restaurants/cafes or just ate in the hotel as I'm staying an extra night?

Rinaldi, congratulations on booking! It will go well mate. I amazed how quickly i have become accustomed to having hair where it wasn't before. Looking at old pictures makes me cringe more as I can clearly see the balding areas!

Spalding, congrats as well! I was super nervous and didn't really sleep that well the night before...too much excitement. But it was worth it so far. I don't even think about my hair that often in the sense of wondering if it looks bad.

It's funny how I look like I'm balding more so due to the random hair growth but I just have so much more confidence knowing that it's going to be better. Also seeing hair on my hairline is amazing!

Good luck with your ops guys! Wishing you all the best!!

hi lukeyb1687,

congrats on your HT, following your progress and it looks perfect.

like yourself i don't use pills and even no minoxidil, how much biotin do you take each day?, i'm taking 600 mg and MSM 500mg (in addition B12, and vitamin D), i don't know if i should take a big dosage of biotin.

by the way i'm drinking wheatgrass in the morning, at least for the first month. eat everyday 2 spoons of pumpkin seed, 2 spoons of Flaxseed, 10 almonds, and about 10 walnuts.

i try to drink fresh squeeze vegetables juice everyday too.

thank you.
