3500 Scheduled with Dr. Cinik 12/12

Recommended Posts

Well I am almost at the 1 year mark (3 days shy)!! But as I have family in town I likely will miss the date to update so wanted to give my results today! My family's coming in from England tomorrow and they haven't seen me since just before and after the operation. So this will be the biggest testament in terms of what they notice and how different I look. - Of course they know about the transplant, but will see it for the first time in person.

I am growing my hair out and after a few weeks of the awkward stage it's finally getting better in terms of being more manageable and doing what I want it to.

Overall at the 12 month mark I am ecstatic over how different I look. The fact the hair shapes my face, I don't mind about the wind as it's a quick fix. I can part my hair either side of my head (photos to follow). I've had a ton of compliments stating how I look 8-10 years younger than before, is it from working out, diet? I've been very open with everyone who's asked about what's different, and no-one has even guessed that I had a hair transplant until I tell them. They're reactions are priceless..I can almost hear their inner voices changing as they process that information "Are you crazy, woah that's so cool, hmm maybe I should get one" haha!

This forum has been a huge help and I really appreciate everyone reaching out to ask about my story and following this thread. I will be continuing to post my journey over the next few months too. Thank you all and feel free to ask me any questions that I can help answer :)

Hi again first this is not Dr.Cinik's result i am sorry.  This  result is Dr.Cinik's techician result ..

Because all the world knows that he doesnt perform the operation..

Second everybody can not be lucky like u i believe that you were playing casino and seems that  u won at this time but what about the others?

and i believe that 10/5 patients like u getting result and sharing what about other 5?! it is a just GAMBLE!

if they were finding bad techicians what will they do?

Because i know that he receives 8-10 patients a day and impossible same time 10 good techicians are working there..

Therefore your sharing not important  for me  if i do not know who was performing the operation..Maybe you need to write techicians names that will be more correct anyway good luck happy for u !

Happy New Year!

Luke has inspired us with his journey and transformation, and I am very grateful to him for sharing his experience and providing good advices on the forum.

My experience with Dr Cinik is very similar to his, and I don't want to start a new story. So let me upload here my summary after a year (the quality of my pics is not great - I took them using iPhone).

Luke - thanks for your time to share your experience and keep us all updated!

First off, I want to thank Luke for documenting his journey, it's been really educational and helpful.

Now I'm at the 30th day post FUE surgery and I'm thinking of buzzing my hair to 1 for the first time. I see that Luke didn't use clippers for the recipient area during the first months, why is that? Is there some kind of risk?

@clerksband if you are buzzing any transplanted hairs that are not shed yet you might damage the hair follicle by using to much force. It’s probably not scientifically proven but more common sense. I think Cinik advises to use scissors only for the first 6 months.

Thank you all for the support and following my journey.

@johnp557799 great result man, that's a huge difference! How do you feel?

@clerksband congrats on the 30 day mark! Yeah, I wouldn't use clippers on the transplanted area for at least 6 months. I believe the vibration of the clippers can cause damage to the root or dislodge the hair (it's still in its infancy) just use some good old scissors to trim. The rest of your head, inclduing donor, should be fine to clip...well it was fine for me at least.

@mrknid yep you're right!

I appreciate the advice, Luke! I won't use clippers on the receiving area, then.

Thank you! I don't use minoxidil or fin. I had side effects with minox such as baggy under eyes  headaches, and figured that it wasn't worth the side effects. Glad you remember my old post about it!!

Any other precaution while cutting it with scissors, Luke? Or just that?

Hey, im thinking about using Dr. cinik as well.

Did you take one the more expensive packages, with him doing the channels, or did you go with the cheaper package with the tech's doing all the work?
I guess with that result, that you took the expensive package :)

Just try to be careful and not pull upwards when cutting. I just laid the scissors on my head and cut from there gently!

Thank you! I've been very lucky with my density, always been told I have really thick hair in the back especailly.

I was about 23 in the minox posts I did years ago. Not had any loss past the frontal third, which I'm fortunate for!

Oh no I had a ton more sprout through! I would say only about 40% is through at 5 months. Keep eating healthy and promote healing in your body!

I am just past the 13 month mark and everything is going great! There hair still seems to be getting thicker, I had a slight trim 2 weeks ago and I now I wish I had kept it growing. Live and learn lol! Other than that I am still over the moon!!
