Bill - Seemiller Posted December 5, 2017 Posted December 5, 2017 Dr. Rahal, That's surely another stellar result. The hairline looks great. Thanks for sharing. Best wishes, Bill
Senior Member Gasthoerer Posted December 25, 2017 Senior Member Posted December 25, 2017 These Rahal FUT results are over the top. Dense & very natural hairline. Makes my decision (FUE or FUT) much more difficult. 400+ grafts in 2018 and 2900 grafts in 2020 via FUE with Feriduni
Regular Member HairLossMentor Posted December 29, 2017 Regular Member Posted December 29, 2017 I had the pleasure of meeting the patient in person. Great guy. Great story. Great result. @Gasthoerer What's making your decision difficult? I've been there myself. In the end, I went for FUE. But my first was strip.
Senior Member Gasthoerer Posted December 29, 2017 Senior Member Posted December 29, 2017 Yes, amazing result. Looks like a natural full head of hair. Sorry, I didn't share my story here (I did before in a domestic Forum), but you can see that I was in a quite interesting discussion with Feller and Bloxham about this too. Short summary (I do not want to hijack this thread): - I am a 38 old complicated diffuse thinner (DPA) who requires between 2500 – 3000 grafts (hairline and crown) - Currently I slowed/stopped the loss with FIN but MINOX did not give me any regrowth - My Donor is above average (around 10 000 confirmed by 3 clinics and calculated myself with the excel tool of Lorenzo/Erdogan) - But my hairloss is following the exact similar pattern as my fathers, which means it will probably never stop thinning (even though I am on FIN and my father is not) - My skin tends a little to keloid scars which might affect both FUE and FUT - Feriduni (even after asking for strip in a 2nd meeting) and Bisanga both recommended FUE Sounds like FUE should by my choice, but: - But most of the very great results I have seen were FUT (a lot from Rahal though) - And I need a great result as my donor is very (!) dense and a normal result will still look thin in comparison especially as I have a low hairline Current decision: - I will make a very small FUE (<500 grafts for a conservative hairline approach) which cost a boatload of money in a great clinic to see if I am a good FUE candidate - If I am not a good candidate (e. g. grafts are difficult to extract) the I go for FUT and/or maybe I get the balls to jump on DUT (some regrowth or better thickening of existing hair and I may not need any further work in the crown) 400+ grafts in 2018 and 2900 grafts in 2020 via FUE with Feriduni
Regular Member HairLossMentor Posted December 30, 2017 Regular Member Posted December 30, 2017 My skin tends a little to keloid scars which might affect both FUE and FUT Hey Gasthoerer, That's a big one buddy. I would rule out strip 100%. A shitty scar is tough to deal with - and even harder to fix. For results... meet patients in person. Best advice I can give. I know Rahal is launching their new site soon... with 100's of amazing FUE results. But again, meet patients in person. Question... have you thought about smp? Rahal's doing "3DSMP" now. And it's awesome. You can't tell - looks like real hair. So you can shave your head. If it's a look you're after.

Even though I belive FUT gives SMP is unfortunately no option for me. I have a terrible head shape and could not even buzz down when younger. SMP might be a nice add on for some, but my major issue is not density but volume (height) which is very different distributed.
