Regular Member Marky9829 Posted November 17, 2017 Regular Member Posted November 17, 2017 Hello I am just sat in my hotel room after the amazing experience I’ve had st Asmed I’m 30 years old from the UK been slowly receding since I was around 21 but been on finasteride and for the past 3 years been on dutateride. Been thinking about a HT for about 3 years but never really believed I would get one done. When it got to a point of not being able to style my hair how I wanted I decided to look on forums to gain more information about HT’s, I researched a lot and finally decided to go with Asmed as their reviews and results were the best. I booked back in April 2017 to have the operation on Friday 17th November. I flew from Uk to Instanbul on Wednesday 15th November with Turkish Airlines, probably the best airline I’ve ever flown with. I landed in instanbul at aroun 18:30 and got picked up by a driver who took me too the Radison Blu hotel which was excellent. Consultation The next day I got picked up from the hotel around 1pm for my consultation I was really nervous about the blood test as I hate injections as pathetic as it sounds ha. Once that was over with I got to meet with Dr Koray Erodgan, he let me draw my hairline on what I wanted and he wanted me to do some temple work aswell but I said I didn’t want that as I’ve never had good temporal peaks even when I was a kid and I want to save as many grafts as I could for the future. I also said I wanted U-FUE and he recommended I have 2400 grafts. I then met the Anethesatist who was a really nice guy, I explained that I hated needles and he told me not to worry and gave me some Xanax to help me sleep that night and also some for the morning of surgery. Got back to the hotel and all I could think about was the anaesthetic injections that I would be having the next day as I’d heard some horror stories. Day of surgery Had a decent sleep night before and woke up in the morning didn’t really feel nervous at all, must have been the Xanax ha. Got picked up at 7am and taken to the clinic, nerves kicked in abit then, got taken into the surgery. The Anaethetist was there and asked how I was, I said I was abit nervous, he asked if I wanted something to chill me out so I said yes why not. He administered this by IV. They then started on the anaesthetic injections and they were an absolute breeze,’little pin pricks now and then but nothing as bad I was thinking about hardly any pain at all. The extractions then started which took upto about 1pm. Then after lunch Dr Koray did the insisions. After that his team did the implanting which took until about 5pm, again totally pain free. The whole experience from start to finish as been excellent, I’ve actually enjoyed myself as strange as it sounds ha. Just want to say thanks to all the staff at Asmed they are all really professional, friendly and hard working. If I need any further work doing in the future I won’t hesitate to go back there. Total donor 7800 2411 grafts extracted

Regular Member Marky9829 Posted November 19, 2017 Author Regular Member Posted November 19, 2017 Day 3 feeling great only small bit of swelling, no pain, donor is healing up nicely. Just got my fingers crossed that I don’t get the dreaded shock loss. Dr Erodgan advised not to use minoxidil 1 month before procedure, do you think it would be ok to start using it on my crown?
Regular Member Marky9829 Posted November 19, 2017 Author Regular Member Posted November 19, 2017 Well done for taking the plunge. I wish you a quick recovery. Thanks mate, hope you are getting on well.
Regular Member jackfera Posted November 19, 2017 Regular Member Posted November 19, 2017 Work looks great, and I believe this is the first case of unshaven fue that I have seen by ASMED on this site. Any chance you could post a photo of covering up the recipient site? Thanks -J
Regular Member Marky9829 Posted November 19, 2017 Author Regular Member Posted November 19, 2017 This was taken in the airport just pushed forward, I’m hoping when the scabs drop off I can style it better.
Regular Member jackfera Posted November 19, 2017 Regular Member Posted November 19, 2017 That is even better than I thought it would be. That may have made my mind up about unshaven with ASMED. Thanks Marky! -J
Regular Member Marky9829 Posted November 19, 2017 Author Regular Member Posted November 19, 2017 Cheers mate is your case similar? So glad I went to Asmed so professional. There was a lad there having one done when I was there who had had 5 HTs he said Asmed was the best out of the lot.
Senior Member HG1 Posted November 20, 2017 Senior Member Posted November 20, 2017 Thanks mate, hope you are getting on well. Hi Mark, Yes I'm doing well thanks. Day 25 post Op. 90% shed of hair and a little shock loss also. Scalp is also a little pink. It sounds like you had just as good experience as myself. The team really put you at ease, and make you feel special. All the ladies being really attractive helps as well . Hope you continue to improve / recover and ultimately reach your goal. 5024 grafts with Asmed Clinic. Bill - Seemiller Posted November 20, 2017 Posted November 20, 2017 Marky, Thanks for taking the time to share your experience and photos. Everything looks great so far. I expect you will heal and grow well, but just remember, it takes time. And things might look worse before it looks better. This is the nature of the beast. I went through it 4 times and I was a little nervous every time. But everything worked out and now my hair is quite thick. I'm sure you will experience an outstanding result since you picked a great surgeon. Please keep us posted. Best wishes, Bill
Regular Member Marky9829 Posted November 28, 2017 Author Regular Member Posted November 28, 2017 Day 11 things are going well upto now, all the scabs have gone now, donor area is healed, still abit itchy but no pain. Just cut my hair for the first time to try and make it look presentable so I can go out without a hat. Just got my fingers crossed for the dreaded shockloss of my native hair, how long after a HT do people see shock loss happening? At what week Can I safely say that if shockloss hasn’t happened it’s unlikely to happen. Thanks
Senior Member Markee Posted November 28, 2017 Senior Member Posted November 28, 2017 Looking pretty dame good for just 11 days
Regular Member Marky9829 Posted February 23, 2018 Author Regular Member Posted February 23, 2018 Hello just over 3 months post off 98 days to be exact. Because I can cover it with my hair style I’ve not really thought about it a lot or obsessed over it. Do I look on track? Thanks
Senior Member Rawkerboi Posted February 23, 2018 Senior Member Posted February 23, 2018 Definitely on track. Why don't you buzz your hair? It might look clean and even...
Regular Member Marky9829 Posted February 23, 2018 Author Regular Member Posted February 23, 2018 I’ve never had a buzz cut so wouldn’t want the drastic change just yet, it’s still too thin to blend in to my native hair. I can style my hair forward to cover the HT
Senior Member mosd Posted February 23, 2018 Senior Member Posted February 23, 2018 Did unshaven cost more? Can they still dense pack
Regular Member Marky9829 Posted February 23, 2018 Author Regular Member Posted February 23, 2018 shaven is 2.5 Euro and none shaven is 3euro. Yes they can still dense pack, I shaved the front of my hairline myself before the op to help the surgeon place the grafts.
Senior Member fortuneplant Posted February 23, 2018 Senior Member Posted February 23, 2018 Hi Marky9829. Looking very good. For three months, your growth seem to be above average. I am on my 4th month this week and our hair growth seem the same.
Regular Member Justin77 Posted February 23, 2018 Regular Member Posted February 23, 2018 Definitely early growth! That looks more like 4-5 month results to me to be honest (it's close to where I am now at 4 months). Should be a great final result! My 1700 FUE with Dr. Konior - October 19, 2017
