This patient experienced hair loss in her temple areas due to traction alopecia. Traction alopecia, or tension hair loss, as it is sometimes referred to, is the condition in which harsh grooming practices like tight ponytails or weaves pull the follicles from their roots over time. This results in permanent hair loss in the areas pulled with the most force.

Dr. U recommended extracting 200 grafts from the donor area on her head. He extracted these follicles using his advanced FUE tool, the Dr.UPunch Rotor, giving the patient a better chance of seeing an increased growth yield after surgery.

Dr.U then reconstructed the hairline by carefully inserting the UGrafts into the bald area on the patient’s temple. During this process, Dr. U takes into account the growth pattern on the scalp and matches it in order to produce natural results.

The patient is thrilled with the results of her surgery. Using the Dr.UGraft system, she was able to overcome her hair loss. The patient can pull her hair up without worrying about her bald spots, which giver her more confidence in her appearance.
