Senior Member Baldrick101 Posted September 9, 2017 Senior Member Share Posted September 9, 2017 Here is my thread detailing my HT experience with Dr Feriduni, I hope it helps others as they navigate the world of hair restoration. I have been losing my hair since the age of 18 and it was at this age I first noticed my pillow covered in hairs. I am now 32 and my loss has been steady and progressive to borderline NW IV. My crown is still intact and I have been taking Finasteride every day since December 2016. I had 3500 grafts in one day which was quite an ordeal, however I am glad it only lasted one day. I would have really struggled with day two. I would like to thank not only the Doctor but all the staff at the clinic, especially the Techs. They are the unsung heroes who work diligently and professionally, day in day out to an incredibly high standard. The surgery and aftercare has been very organised and professional, you really feel like you're in safe hands. Plenty has been said about Dr Feriduni before so there is not much to add. He is a consummate professional in all aspects. Please find attached some before pictures.

Senior Member TrixGlendevon Posted September 10, 2017 Senior Member Share Posted September 10, 2017 Hi! Great result. I really want a consultation with Feriduni but he doesn't have anything until August 2018 (!!!!) How did you find dealing with his team pre-surgery? I am finding them really slow. I really want a consultation with Feriduni but he doesn't have anything until August 2018 (!!!!) How did you find dealing with his team pre-surgery? I am finding them really slow. August 18' sounds about right as his waitlist is about a year. I think I waited 10 months or so. He doesn't cram people in as it was just me on the day of the surgery, so you do have their full attention. I believe he fits two in a day for those smaller cases. It is a very calm and quiet environment at the clinic. When I initially approached the office Spex was working as some sort of intermediary so communication was fine. I'm not sure what the situation is now.

The annoying thing is, they told me I could have a consultation in Nov about 3 months ago but I was between contracts so didn't book and now it isn't available. Now it is an 11 month wait. FML. I wouldn't mind but the guy who deals woth you by email takes so long to reply. Either he is terrible at his job or vastly overworked. I might ring tomorrow. Senior Member Baldrick101 Posted September 16, 2017 Author Senior Member Share Posted September 16, 2017 All of the scabs came off in the shower today so I thought I would take a photo. Everything has gone well except quite bad nerve pain on the donor area. Finding it quite hard to sleep. Anybody know how to rotate pics? They keep getting flipped around when I upload
Senior Member Baldrick101 Posted October 6, 2017 Author Senior Member Share Posted October 6, 2017 Not much to report at this stage. Most of the transplanted hairs fell out between days 15-20. There are some stragglers left. I buzzed my hair to a 2 guard the other day to maintain uniformity. Luckily, I have had little to no redness. Nobody has noticed a thing and it was undetectable from day 12 IMO. I bought a 1000x USB microscope to monitor things (?13 on amazon). I really could not find the scars from the punches in the donor area. I am experimenting with minoxidil 5% once a day to kickstart growth. I will update in December/Jan unless growth kicks in earlier! Photos keep rotating...
Senior Member TrixGlendevon Posted October 6, 2017 Senior Member Share Posted October 6, 2017 Are all the hairs that are left the stragglers or are some from before the procedure?
Senior Member Baldrick101 Posted October 6, 2017 Author Senior Member Share Posted October 6, 2017 The temple areas are purely implanted hairs, I was slick in those areas. The rest (including middle forelock) going back to the bridge is a mixture of native and transplants. I do not appear to have had shock loss although its hard to definitively say one way or another. Senior Member Baldrick101 Posted November 2, 2017 Author Senior Member Share Posted November 2, 2017 I am obviously trying not to get too excited but I have hairs growing on my temple regions that were previously slick bald. I believe these hairs are transplants that did not shed and continued growing. I haven't had any shockloss at this stage. My hair is buzzed to a 2.5mm on the back and sides and a 3 guard on top. (If a mod knows how to stop the uploader from rotating the pics I would appreciate it!)

Senior Member Baldrick101 Posted January 7, 2018 Author Senior Member Share Posted January 7, 2018 I am now precisely 4 months post op and the I have seen some substantial growth in the last 4 weeks! My right temple has a lot of thickening to go and hopefully some more hairs will sprout in this area. A few people have asked me if I have dyed my hair. I haven't but it looks that way. The new transplanted hair is much thicker and darker in comparison to my miniaturised hair, giving the impression the hair has been dyed. I have put together some photos from various angles as well as a few "before" pics for reference. Any comments or suggestions are welcome.

Yours was a big op at 3500 but the results I'm sure will speak for themselves
Senior Member Baldrick101 Posted March 1, 2018 Author Senior Member Share Posted March 1, 2018 Here we are just shy of 6 months. I have seen some solid progression and now the hairline just needs to thicken up. I had explosive growth between months 3-4 and to be honest, not a lot happened between months 4-5 so I just waited until 6 to do an update. At this stage I feel no more new hairs are emerging and I am likely in the "maturation" phase. I am closely watching the right temple as this area is a bit behind the rest, I really hope it thickens up as it is clearly sparse in daylight. It feels great to actually have hair to style now. Its also a great feeling to feel some resistance as you run a comb through the hair!!

Yours looks really dark as does mine now post op at a similar length of time. Are you using minoxidil more regularly now than you were pre op? Im using it twice a day religously and my hair is so dark and thick sense using it post op.
