You're definitely not quite there but I wouldn't be worried just yet. I've seen many Erdogan cases where it looks to be heading to a sub-par result but by a year every single case I've seen has reached a satisfactory result or better. I think improvements at this stage are probably less dramatic than the first 6 months so it's a longer waiting game.

Here is my 7 month update. I think there has been some slight improvement this month but not that much. I'm not really seeing much going on, my hair is still lacking the density i'm hoping for and is still patchy in places, I'm hoping there is still more growth to come but i'm not really seeing it at the moment. Not sure if i'm being impatient or not?

 

I am exactly the same as you. It’s frustrating I know. I have a microscope and when looking at the recipient area I can see a lot of white hairs that you can’t see with the naked eye. I’m sure you have the same. My doctor said it’s normal and to just give it time and it will thicken up. Goodluck man and all we can do is wait and see.

Rwethereyet you'll be looking a lot better by the 1 year mark. That was a large area to cover even with 3200 grafts.

To be honest with you I would expect more density at this stage. However, you should definitely wait until 1 year mark before stressing out.

 

Anyway, have you already reached out to Dr. Erdogan?

Thanks for the support guys, I'll just have to wait it out and see how it comes on over the coming months. I've messaged Sevinc my coordinator with pictures, I'll update when I hear back. I am reasonably happy so far and all my pictures I put up I try to show my hair in its worst state under the harshest light.

Kudos for showing it in it's worst state. I know it's tempting to try and show off your result in a flattering light and with some product and photo filters, but by doing that you're not only fooling yourself but also potentially luring people into making a decision on false premisses.

Not heard anything back from my coordinator. I've sent them an email this morning to see if I get a response that way.

 

I've started taking 4000mg of Biotin instead of 2000mg now taking 2000mg in the morning and 2000mg in the evening. I'll be upping to 5000mg split in to 2 doses per day next week. Hopefully this may help the new hairs grow quicker.

 

I do feel like my hair is improving this month, I'm trying my best to ignore it till month 8 then I will compare again.

 

Your hair looks like it's improving, the last photos were taken under different light so it was hard to tell by how much. In the latest photos it looks loads better. I'll update on here once I have a response from ASMED.

I have heard back from Dr Erdogan. He has said that he is pleased with the appearance of the hair so far, he expects new hair to come in over the next couple of month's or so. He has asked me to update him at the 10 month point. Fingers crossed there will be some good changes coming.

I've moved apartments this month and the lighting is more harsh than my old place, so the photos show my hair in a worse state. I still feel and hope that the improvements will continue to come. The right side is still lagging behind the left side I also hope this will catch up. I'm now taking 5000mg of biotin per day. Other than this there is nothing much to report on.

Things are looking good, I can see a slight improvement in the temple area from last month. Slow but progressing the right way I'm sure over the next few months everything will catch up to speed and you'll be rocking the thick locks!

What’s up rwethereyet .. I’ll be doing my 8 month update in like another week and a half. I’m about the same as you more or less .. I guess we’re late bloomers I’m sure at 10 months we’ll be in better shape .

Don’t know why ur density isn’t great .. it will get a bit better .. but what u see now is 80% of what u are going to get..

But don’t feel too bad.. U lost ur whole frontal half of ur head .. the first surgery wil only do so much. At least u don’t having thiinning of the crown .. so u can concentrate on the front again n give it density . At least u have a hairline now n u didn’t get butchered .. a second surgery is needed for u to be totally satisfied now ..

If this is the final density it is definitely a botched operation.. 3200 grafts should not look like this at the final stage.

Payam, with respect how can you use the word 'botched'? He's eight months into a journey of up to eighteen months. Many HT patients report big improvements between eight and twelve months, and further maturing all the way up to 18 months.

Thanks for the support and feedback guys. I'm pretty confident that what I am seeing isn't the final result! To suggest this is a botch job at this stage is unfair to Dr Erdogan and his team. I am still seeing new weak thin hairs growing in on both sides. Also my new hairs growing in don't yet match the existing hair. They are thinner and more wavy, this was more evident before I had my haircut the day before the photos I have just posted. Also remember I am taking my photos directly under the brightest light I have. Next month I will try to take the photos outside under natural day light.

I was under the impression that the density you see at around 8 months is what you get more or less, perhaps I'm mistaken? Holding my thumbs for you.

Everyone is different, I think /hope I'm a slow bloomer. I know the full results can take up to 18 months. Even once all hairs have grown in they need time to become thicker and take on the same characteristics of the original donor hair

Hi Guys

 

9 months in now, i'm still progressing along slowly. I had my hair cut again just before the photos and its been cut a little shorter than last month. I've been checking close up in the mirror a few times through the month including today and I can still see new hairs coming in so I'm hopeful that I am a slow grower! I have noticed that the new hair that has grown in is curly / wavy. Before I had it cut the new hair was really wavy, it looks better shorter as it was too messy before. Hopefully as time progresses I'll see the new hair change to straighter hair. My right side it still trying to catch up on the left. Other than this there isn't a whole lot report on.
