Marijuana after FUE hair transplant

Hi guys,

So I searched the forum and this topic was not brought up before but I am sure that there are many guys out there who want to know more about this. I just had my FUE hair transplant around 3 weeks ago and I am wondering when I can consume marijuana again. I have heard that smoking constrict blood vessel and should be avoided until 2-3 weeks post-op? My surgeon even suggested no smoking for 1 year post-op.

How about if I consume marijuana another way other than smoking? (like edibles?) Would that harm my results? Does anybody have any experiences regarding this topic and other types of drugs?

I consume marijuana occasionally since it is legal in my state :)

Smoking Tobacco or Marijuana or even Bananas constrict blood vessels. After a few weeks it probably won't make much difference but why take the chance of giving yourself a less than optimal outcome?

Edibles are probably okay.

Marijuana is okay in my state , too - but of course, I live in the state of confusion.

I'm serious.  Just look at my face.

I don't smoke marijuana or cigarettes, but I smoke cigars. I waited a week after my first HT before I had one and everything turned out fine, but I still ran it past my doctor first

Any form of tobacco will constrict the blood vessels.

You want to discuss all medication concerns with your physician and I do mean all!

I want to share my story. I didn't experience hair transplantation, but when I was like 14 I injured my ankle playing football. Such a banal case, but it changed my life on a bad side and my football carrier in general. Even now I have pain in my ankle from time to time. Especially when I walk for hours or do workout. I felt nervous and uncomfortable and just incomplete. My therapist suggested me to exercise with a physiotherapist and try cannabis oil  I was quite surprised about the last one. However, I followed his prescription and bought one. After few consuming my ankle pain felt much lower. I don't use it too often, only when the pain is hard to endure. Maybe this information will help to someone. Take care.
