Regular Member Bernstein Medical Posted June 2, 2017 Regular Member Share Posted June 2, 2017 Bernstein Medical - Center for Hair Restoration Patient SFI is a Norwood Class 5, with slightly wavy, fine, white hair. With a donor density that is relatively low (1.6 hairs/mm2). He had two hair restoration procedures totaling 4,137 follicular unit grafts. Overview: Before / After: Before Hair Transplant After 2nd Hair Transplant Detail of Hairline: Before Transplant Position of Hairline After 2nd Hair Transplant Top View: View of the top of the scalp after two sessions. Note that over the course of the four years since his first procedure, much of the original hair on the top of his scalp has been lost leaving him mainly with transplanted hair on the top of his scalp. Because of his low donor density and fine hair, he has relatively light, but natural coverage. Senior Member Dolph1969 Posted June 2, 2017 Senior Member Share Posted June 2, 2017 Cosmetically, i'd be expecting a better result for that amount of grafts.
Regular Member Bernstein Medical Posted June 2, 2017 Author Regular Member Share Posted June 2, 2017 Reasonable comment, but his donor density was only 1.6 hairs/mm2 and his donor area continued to thin a bit over time - as did his hair transplant. I presented this as an example of very light coverage making and older person (with modest expectations) quite satisfied.
