Senior Member notsosure Posted April 5, 2017 Senior Member Share Posted April 5, 2017 Hey all, I just came across an article about Replicel/Shiseido where they'll be releasing a public version of their hairloss cloning treatment in 2018. Have you all heard anything about this? Is it legit? Sounds too good to be true. Thanks.
Senior Member E39 Posted April 5, 2017 Senior Member Share Posted April 5, 2017 Seems to be an adjunct for hair loss treatment. Not a cure.
Senior Member TakingThePlunge Posted April 5, 2017 Senior Member Share Posted April 5, 2017 We've written about Replicel a few times over the years. This is the most recent blog we've published on the topic. Will Replicel's Revolutionary Hair Loss Treatment Debut in 2018? I was really pumped about this a few years ago and I was glad to see that it's still on the horizon. David - Former Forum Co-Moderator and Editorial Assistant I am not a medical professional. Senior Member Spanker Posted April 5, 2017 Senior Member Share Posted April 5, 2017 None if these companies have posted any mind blowing results. They are working on it but that's the only piece of mind it gives me. Senior Member hsrp10 Posted April 5, 2017 Senior Member Share Posted April 5, 2017 Currently it's the most promising treatment in terms of soon to be available new options, with 2018 Japan release on the horizon then Europe soon after. A lot of their early R&D was based on safety of the treatment (making sure it doesn't induce tumors etc) so subsequent efforts may produce better results when they concentrate on higher concentrations of the growth agent. I think it will be much longer for the US market due to the more stringent regulations in place but we will see. A good summary of the treatment and status can be found here.
