kevin,

I agree with Bill. You need to consult with a qualified medical professional.

The first questions they will ask you are:

1. How long since you've noticed the problem?

2. What have you done about it?

3. What drugs are you taking?

If you are on finasteride, and judging by the length of time you are/have been on finasteride, they may ask you to quit and observe the changes in your body.

On a side note, alot of erectile dysfunction can be psychological.

take care...

A lot of erectile dysfunction problems can be psychological, as mmhce mentioned above. But sometimes, there are cases that some people lose their interest in sex because of becoming too addicted to masturbating. Cut off your masturbation rate a little and see how it effects.

Also, if you are taking sedatives, they can cause erectile dysfunction as well.

on the other hand, as there might be some other thing as well, I would also recommend that you should see a doctor as well.

Check your blood sugar asap. ED can be caused by diabetes. Also if you have sleep apnea this could lead to ED as well

I haven't had a proper erection for months. Sometimes it works when I masturbate. What is causing it and what can I do?

Hello Kevin;

This question is unusual for the hair loss forum; unless you are using Propecia which lists this as a possible side effect. Are you on this medication and are you receiving treatment from a hair restoration doctor. It is important to report this to him or her. If this is not the case you should know that immediate medical intervention from a qualified physician is the only and best course of action. All the Best, Michael
