A 59 years old Indian Female patient was suffering from female pattern baldness from last 10-12 years and which made her depressed. She tried many alternatives like Minoxidil, Finasteride, PRP in her initial phase of the recession, but all those options didn’t work well. And, she stopped all those therapies. She came to us 2 years back and we have done the FUT hair transplant with the placement of 2100 Grafts on the frontal and mid-scalp. Now she is not conscious with her look anymore and takes part in her all the social activities.

Nice improvement, one suggestion though with regards to the way pictures are taken. if the patient asked for hiding her identity just covering her eyes WOULD NOT work. The rectangle mask should cover at least her eyes and nose.

 

Overall very nice improvement.

 

Also what has been your experience with female hair loss using medications like Finasteride?, what dose do you generally recommend?, what kind of side effects have you heard your patients' complain.
