Considering Hair Transplant But Unsure Where To Go?

Hey everyone!

 

So I'm a new member so this is all new to me so here my story goes and in advance I appreciate the advice that is given

 

Over the past 3 or so years I've noticed that my hairline has receded around my temples and the frontal area of my hairline, it was something that always bothered me as I think I have a large forehead and I'm limited to what kind of hairstyles I want but lately it has just bothered me more as time goes on and I want have my natural hairline I had when I was younger restored so it has brought me here! I've been following this website for months now and I find it so helpful for everyone else so I hope the same can be done for me I'm still young only at the age of 24 but over the past few months I have been researching hair transplant surgeons all across europe and I'm just slightly confused as to who would be best for me, what I want to have done and isn't too expensive either! My dad (in his 60's) and my two brothers (both in their late 30's ) have developed the exact same hairline as me so I believe it must be a form of genetics playing its role in some way and I just dont like it and want to have just a fuller more dense frontal hairline and maybe have my hairline lowered by an inch or so to give my forehead a smaller appearance, I have attached a few images of what my hairline is like at the moment, doesn't look as bad in the images at the moment as I'm letting my hair grow out so I can cover the areas of the temples that have receded but you can see where it has receded! Any advice on surgeons that arent too overly expensive I would greatly appreciate it thanks guys

You're still quite young so I'd wait it out a bit more.

If you're not on medication - and be sure to fully research your options and possible side effects before ever starting - then you could possible lose more ground from shock loss in the areas currently thinning if you were to undergo a procedure.

 

Have you also researched the pros and cons of FUT vs FUE and which one best suits your case yet?

You don't need a transplant imo but you do need finasteride. You're developing a nw4/5 pattern based on that last shot, so, if you're not on meds, you'd be wasting your money. If you get on fin, and you respond well, you should gain some irva lot of the volume you've lost.

I think your definitely a suitable candidate, just get your frontal third done, and when your 30 get your mid crown area done

Shock loss is temporary no? I do agree that would be a reason to not go for an HT yet for the OP since still has very thick hair.

 

Meds could really help preserve your hair OP. Sometimes it can take upto 2 years to see the effects so i would get on it asap. Without it you definitely need to wait till you are near 30 so you can see if HT is still a viable option. Getting an HT now near your hairline and realizing later you have aggressive AA would leave you with an odd appearance IMO.
