Hey all,

A bit late but attached are my 12/14 month update pictures.

I grew my hair a bit longer per forum recommendations.

Looking for honest feedback, advice moving forward, as well as styling options.

Refund, opt for another surgeon. If I was in your case I would probably try FUT rather than FUE to maximise my chances with someone like Konior or Hasson/Wong. If you're set on FUE I would definitely suggest Erdogan strongly, specifically because you have quite a large area to cover as well as thinning way back in the midscalp, which ought call for a larger megasession than most of your other options opt for in FUE cases, including reinforcement of thinning areas behind the hairline.

Hey it doesn’t look good .. sorry about your situation.. when I read ur first post I felt really hopeful for u .. u seemed like a good candidate , u were implanting Into bald areas, so less chance of native hair shockloss .. n the hair that u already had looked strong , hence is why u had so many 3 hair grafts .. so I felt u would get a great result ..

- I felt most sad though , when in ur post u said u were patient n been waiting for along time before going to surgery . But finally decided to go under the knife , cuz once u cut , u cut!

- n mentioned u might look back on this day 10 years later n be like what the heck did I do ..

- think u jinxed ursself :(

It was a bad sign when from the beginning on ur wash that u noticed a lot of the hair fell out , I think it wasn’t just ur shaved hair but also grafts that fell out ..

- me sad to know that u going to look back n remember this day was a bad decision . Now it makes me worried myself since i was planning on doing a transplant myself this year , but now I’m nervous about going through with it ..

— well all is not lost ,, ur hairline looks good n a second pass through will make things denser .. most people get a second transplant right away for more density anyways ..

at least u chose an ethical doctor that’s willing to give u a full refund ..

so on the bright side , it’s like u getting two transplants for the price of one .. best of luck to u ... keep us updated .. things will turn out well..

definitely get to another doctor and get the refund. I don't know that you have to go fut as while it's not a small procedure it's not that you're a nw 5+ either but you are going to be dipping into your donor extensively with fue so you need to get this right this time, right with either procedure but especially with fue with less margin for error. If you are going to opt for fue, one of the top Euro specialists is my advice as well, Erdogan, Lorenzo, if you're the patient sort DeFreitas...if you do opt for fut then Konior or Hasson/Wong are top of the food chain. You need a sure thing and these guys are as close to your sure things as the market has.

This is a disappointing overall yield for sure. However, I am glad to see Dr. Harris is standing by his work, and that you do have options going forward. I commend you for sticking around and keeping everyone on this forum updated; many would simply vanish and never post again in situations like this. Please do let us know how you decide to approach this going forward.

Ugh, this sucks.....I feel for you, baldlivesmatter.

Also, sorry but not sorry.....I think this whole "the doctor will make it right" excuse I hear from time to time on poor results is a cop-out. It's one thing to hear that from a surgeon who did surgery and you had a 95% great result but maybe there was a small little touch-up needed. Surgeon says "I will make it right." That's a good surgeon. Little touchups happen are are normal. "Hey, I ordered a burger without onions and it has onions on it." "Oh, no problem, we will make you another burger without onions."

However, hearing that line from a surgeon who produced an overall POOR result.....it means nothing. Why would you ever consider going back to someone who demonstrated they didn't the surgery as a whole very well? "Hey, come back to my restaurant....I know you had food poisoning for a week after and almost died but I promise our food will be better this time". Yeah, OK.

Like some have said.....1700 is a small amount of your donor (and you look to have a nice caliber of hair) so at least you didn't waste many grafts and luckily you didn't get FUT and have a scar and a poor result. Christ, call Dr. Konior or one of other 3-4 top-notch surgeons tomorrow and be sure of your result this time. STOP CUTTING CORNERS PEOPLE! You not only waste your time and money but your donor when you pick people B-list surgeons. It's 2018, do you want Tom Cruise in your movie or do you want Jean Claude Van Damme?

I realize you said you researched several surgeons and went with the one you went with. However, I'm not sure what factors you based this on to make you pick him out of the others you could have went to. I'm not saying Harris is horrible....you said a friend of your's went to him and it looked good. However, this is what separates the A list from the B list. The A listers might have 1 bad result a year (likely due to patient physiology).....the B listers are going to have significantly more. How lucky are you feeling to test the odds?
