Senior Member DEB1982 Posted March 14, 2017 Author Senior Member Share Posted March 14, 2017 3 Months Post Op I will post my normal weekly update tomorrow at 13 weeks but 3 months is really where I wanted to get too quickly prior to the procedure and I'm here. I'm back to where I was pre-op and I have lots of new growth starting. I'm hoping this month to see a real change. alekasenov
I would like to have an operation with Dr Erdogan I think he is the best in Turkey but is very expensive, I have two options, first I need to save money if i wanna get an operation with this doctor otherwise I need to find another Doctor...But I want Dr. Erdogan
Regular Member Erdoganfue Posted March 14, 2017 Regular Member Share Posted March 14, 2017 Based on the Euro conversion rate, even at 2.5 euros per graft I still don't think it is "very expensive", especially for what you get for your money. I'd take a lifetime of hair and driving a cheaper car, etc., 8 days a week Save that money and go for it!
Senior Member DEB1982 Posted March 15, 2017 Author Senior Member Share Posted March 15, 2017 13 Weeks Post Op So I can see lots of new hairs but there are areas where I can't see any so hoping there is lots more to come. I'm trying to remain chilled about it all but it does play on your mind that it's not going to happen. My crown has definitely improved as you can see from the photos below. I even went out for a meal at the weekend with just some aloe vera gel in my hair and I didn't feel too conscious. I am getting times during the day where my heads feels really itchy and lots of little bumps / pimples appearing so I'm hoping things are still happening. Mine may be a little more sporadic I guess? You are in good hands, all the staff at Asmed will take such great care of you. As for redness, you won't be able to tell but I would imagine it will linger around for the first month at least. Senior Member YouOnlyLiveOnce Posted March 19, 2017 Senior Member Share Posted March 19, 2017 I sense a bit of anxiety in some of your recent posts ( probably seeing Justjax and a few others progress and comparing). It's hard to not look in the mirror 500 times a day while inadvertently driving yourself nuts. Your transplant is on the cusp of taking off, the difference month to month from about this point and on is when the magic really starts. I'm predicting an amazing summer

I saw others like Justjax and Gman experience growth at 11 weeks and I was expecting the same. I was a little nervous when I had none. It seems to have just started filling in now so hopefully I can relax a little and start to enjoy it as you say. Thanks for the words of confidence. pandapanda
Looks Great! Have you ever had any side with taking propecia? You said you been on it for 8 years? Also, Was the drs estimate on graft count pretty accurate when you initially sent photos? I have had 3 surgeons say I could go without a surgery because the follicles are still too close and could be permanently damaged since they are in the areas that arent dht resistant and I am only using minoxidil and not finasteride ( I used for 6 months and made semen transparent). However, dr ergodan states he can insert the new grafts without damaging the native weak follicles. Lastly, did you ever consider pigmenting your scalp? Thanks! No I've never experienced any sides whilst taking Propecia. I've been on it for longer than that. Must be 12 years now. I switched to a generic and lost some ground and have recently switched back to Propecia and hair looks thicker already. I was quoted 4500 and I ended up getting 5000. So not far off, Nope never considered pigmentation. I'm hoping this transplant will be enough for the next 10 years. Senior Member DEB1982 Posted March 22, 2017 Author Senior Member Share Posted March 22, 2017 14 Weeks Post Op Progress is slow. It does make me question whether I should stop and do monthly updates now as week by week the difference isn't overly noticeable. I think this is the most anxious I have felt during the entire process. Doubt is creeping in my mind now and it's hard not to gauge yourself against others who have experienced more growth than you at this stage. On the positive, I can still see a load of new hairs appearing but they are just very faint. There's still a load more to come through so let's hope they appear over the next few month. I appreciate I have another 3 months before I need to actually worry but just explaining that this is the most concerned I've felt. I have no pain, discomfort or loss of sensation anymore. Just occasional itching. I'm back playing football and hitting the gym hard now. I've been using a tiny bit of hair fibres on the crown if I have important meetings for the past week as well. Would be interested to know if people think I'm on track... My crown looks worse than it did before my procedure...just hoping it's not permanent shock loss...did you experience this at all? Hey Ponchik, my crown is filling in but it is very gradual. I know it's worrying but at 4 - 12 weeks I looked worse than I ever did. I was prepared for that so I didn't mind too much. From 6 weeks onwards it got better every week. Waiting for new hair to grow is the real killer. I can see lots of new hairs coming through but they are light and take a few weeks to make a cosmetic difference. I'm not going to worry at all though as I still have 2 and half months of growth and I can see lots of new hairs still. from what i can see in your photos you are well on track matey. I hope to be at the same stage as you after 3 months. all looks totally fine and its gonna keep coming! Cheers mate. Some days I feel really confident that it will be a great result but there are then other days where it looks sparse. I know it's too early to tell so need to man up. Senior Member DEB1982 Posted March 29, 2017 Author Senior Member Share Posted March 29, 2017 15 Weeks Post Op As I keep saying progress is slow but the good news is that I can see tons of new hairs still coming through but they are so faint that they aren't making a difference to my appearance. As I can see all the hairs still coming through I'm certain that eventually it will be a killer result but trying to remain patient is a struggle. keltharan
Hello DEB and congratulations on your HT. Hope it turns out just as you expect it. I'm at the beginning of my journey (still deciding what to do / where to do it) but Dr. Erdogan is one of my top choices for now. Seeing the last pics you posted, the 8th and 9th, you are still expecting for some hairs to pop out, right? Worst has passed so it will be upwards from now on. Good luck

Good luck Yes I am still expecting many more hairs to pop out. Mine all seem to be coming through in stages rather than all together. I look so much better already as my face in now much better shaped so I'm happy just got to wait for more to show up and then to thicken!
