Senior Member DEB1982 Posted May 17, 2017 Author Senior Member Share Posted May 17, 2017 Nice mate. You're just behind me. I'm also concerned regarding density, but i'm hanging in there until the year is up. You're looking good so far..money well spent!! Yeah I'm sure it will get more dense but it's just odd why hairs all come out at their own time. I think by Month 6 I am will be in a much better position. Looking good mate and it's only 5m mark. Do you have any crown photos at this stage too? Will be going to Asmed later this year too. Added a crown pic in my last update. You will be in good hands. I think you are coming along nicely. Senior Member DEB1982 Posted May 18, 2017 Author Senior Member Share Posted May 18, 2017 As promised here is a comparison photo with Month 3,4 and 5. It's only when you look at these that you feel how far you've come. Month 3 is the top photo and Month 5 the bottom. Frontal region, wet hair and the crown comparison. Spex hits the nail on the head in his 'Patience post'. You do start to feel like you are having no more growth at this stage but it's just slow and gradual. Looking really good. I'm assuming you don't have any fibres in the pictures though? Good to hear Asmed have assured you not to worry about density at this stage. I'm only about 7 weeks ahead of you and while I hadn't asked myself, I do sometimes focus/obsesss a little about my density (especially if I'm under a harsh light). Hopefully we'll have some good density gains in the coming months.

Senior Member DEB1982 Posted June 7, 2017 Author Senior Member Share Posted June 7, 2017 25 Weeks Post Op Strangely enough, I seem to have seen some more density in the past week. This could be because I had a much shorter hair cut at the weekend but it has lifted my spirits regardless. I can still see lots of new hairs and some really fine ones so I am feeling very hopeful for the next few months. I've got to the point where I am not styling my hair and leaving it as it is after washing and colleagues are telling me how thick it is looking. I know I have more density to come but even at this point, it's framed my face so nicely and I look younger and better than I have over the past 10 years. I should add lots of the new hairs are quite frizzy but have been told they will settle down as they mature. 6 months next week! I've put a few different photos at the end so you can see how it looks naturally in different lighting. First two wet, second two damp, third two dry. As you may tell I'm feeling really positive at the minute. As for the fuzziness, I totally know where you are coming. I found the front looked a little wiry and fuzzy going back a month or two, especially when it was a little longer. From what I can see its partly down to split ends. But its already improved since then and I had a good cut about 3 weeks ago and that really helped get rid of some of split ends. I have also read that the new hair texture improves over time.
Regular Member ediee02 Posted June 7, 2017 Regular Member Share Posted June 7, 2017 Awesome. When it's wet, doesn't even look like it could get thicker. Senior Member DEB1982 Posted June 14, 2017 Author Senior Member Share Posted June 14, 2017 So I have reached the 6 month mark and I think it's fair to say that I'm a gradual grower. I'm really happy with the difference from where I was when I started out but I am lacking in density considering I had 5000 grafts. I'm not concerned though and I truly believe that over the next 6 months it will go from strength to strength. I can still see new hairs appearing and lots of very thin almost see through hairs which once thickened will have a huge cosmetic difference. The big plus is that during my every day life I am just wearing my hair as it dries after the shower and am not conscious of it. For nights out I have added a little fibre and it looks amazing and I've received many compliments. The way it has framed my face has been the biggest difference. At the half way mark I am very happy and although I have days where I am a little impatient, I am optimistic to see what the next 6 months bring. If I did need a second touch up session it would be minimal and only to add some density to the hairline. Let's hope I don't need to do that! Switching to monthly updates from here on as well as I want to try and stop analysing it so much as think that stops me appreciating how far I've come. I've added lots of photos. The last two are of it blow dried back as someone asked for one of those and the last is how I style it with a little bit of fibre in it. I'm hoping my final result looks something like that! It now takes me 5 minutes to do my hair, not 45 minutes!!
