imibrohi
Hello Guys, I've had FUE 5 days ago and I feel a burning and pinching sensation in my scalp donor area. Its nothing that I can not bear but on a scale of 1 to 10 , I would rate this pain as 6-7. Is this normal? I am a little concerned because its causing me a great discomfort. I think it may be nerve damage or something else?? Please let me know if its normal & how much time it will take to recover? Thanks a lot.
Senior Member Dolph1969 Posted September 12, 2016 Senior Member Share Posted September 12, 2016 It's probably nerves re connecting, if its like pins and needles type pain. It will pass. Standard pain killers should work on it.

Your clinic should advise you about solutions and give you input. Is the recipient area irritated at all? My opinions are my own. I am one representative of MyWHTC Clinic's European branch. Senior Member E39 Posted September 12, 2016 Senior Member Share Posted September 12, 2016 I experienced the same thing and it went away in time. If your doc prescribed pain meds, take them. If not, reach out to your doc.
Senior Member aWidowsPeek Posted September 12, 2016 Senior Member Share Posted September 12, 2016 Yeah get some good pain meds and take them before the pain starts man. I had 2000 fue and felt no pain during or after. Also have you followed instructions and kept it clean back there? What size punch did the doctor use? Mine was .
Senior Member patrick1916 Posted September 13, 2016 Senior Member Share Posted September 13, 2016 I had slight pins and needles type pain on my scalp but it goes. Only to be expected when you've so many little things stabbed into your head
imibrohi
Yes, its like pins and needles pain but I also feel constant pain on one side of head (right side). Will update you more about my pain condition. Thanks a lot.
Regular Member Hair2016Jay Posted September 13, 2016 Regular Member Share Posted September 13, 2016 Hi, I also suffered pain from my donor area post op up until about 10-12 days then it subsided. My doctor gave me Co-codamol which helped massively. Thanks, J.
Senior Member JohnCasper Posted September 16, 2016 Senior Member Share Posted September 16, 2016 I had slight pain from my two surgeries but apparently not as severe as you are experiencing. If your surgeon didn't give you prescription pain meds, contact them to see what can be prescribed. I'm assuming you're taking over the counter pain meds? Don't let the pain persist any longer. Get in touch with your doctor. I am an online representative for Carolina Hair Surgery & Dr. Mike Vories (Recommended on the Hair Transplant Network).
