Dr Koray Erdogan (Pros & Cons) Summary

Hi there,

 

 

Context : I have narrowed down my choices for hair transplant to 3 surgeons. 2 of them are recommended by this site, the other used to be - Dr. Koray Erdogan.

 

Objective: I am trying to summarise Pros and Cons of Dr. Erdogan. As I am leaning towards him at the moment.

 

Question to the admins : is there an easy way to summarise the positive and negative feedback on surgeons?

 

There is a lot of information on Dr Erdogan here on the forum. Which just means that the information is not discerning , you can literally find positives and negatives in the same forum search..

As far as I know Dr. Koray is still recommended. I think he is a great doctor but has a huge marketing machine. It doesn't matter where a forum is based there a many example of his work being posted.

I prefer to tell people to see example posted by patients as these are the most important unbiased reviews of a doctor. Having said that if you chose to go to Dr. Koray you have made a good decision.

Are you getting confused with Dr Doganay? He used to be recommended.

He was my first choice among a short list of FUE specialists.

 

He gets good results consistently.

 

He's on par with the top guys who charge twice as much.

 

But it seems his clinic is becoming more and more busy and he takes care of the patients a lot less.

Each physician recommended by this community does have a "patient reviews" tab on their profile. However, not every experience or result has been added. Thus, the best way to research a physician it to use the "search" feature. I know some sites have a "summary" of reviews, but I've found that it often lacks the humanity and discussion that a forum has. Plus, a forum allows you to follow someone sharing their experience through a period of time, from beginning to end. For instance, someone who shares their results could be staged from the clinic whereas someone who has no idea how their results are going to turn out and shares their experience and nerves, and asks questions from the beginning to the end when they have a full head of hair is obviously the "real deal". A forum like ours captures all that, which is why forums are a timeless wonder.

 

That said, I do suggest viewing recommended profiles of each doctor that does contain patient reviews, photos, videos and more in addition to using the "search" feature of this forum.

 

Since I know each doctor recommended here in some way personally, feel free to ask me any questions.

I'm interested in hearing the Pros & especially Cons of Dr Erdogan

So far in all my reading I haven't really came across any negative reviews of the guy just positives Am I missing something ?

The only real controversial possible negative discussion I hear about him is related to people saying he uses to many graphs ?

I'm seriously considering using Erdogan so always out there looking looking feedback is all

My transplant date is in December, I’m meant to be putting down my deposit in the next few days but am really unsure of what to do.

there really is some negative comments I’ve come across, the most concerning being the angle of the implant and the un natural look that people are unhappy with.

i must admit I’m a bit dissatisfied with the correspondence, especially when airing my concerns, after all, this is one big decision to make at an expensive cost.

any help will be much appreciated!
