Dr. Bijan Feriduni Posted May 30, 2016 Share Posted May 30, 2016 FUE performed on a 40 year old Caucasian male with: - NW II-III Class N - Donor density of 88 FU/cm2 in the temporal region and 96 FU/cm2 in the occipital region - Hair diameter of ~52-58 µm Treatment plan: - 1st FUE procedure with 1500 follicular units to reconstruct the hairline and fill in the temporal recessions; - 2nd FUE procedure with 1500-2000 follicular units to add density to the hairline, temporal recessions and central core region. 1st procedure (October 10th, 2010): A Follicular Unit Extraction with 1544 FU * 462 single hair FU * 721 double hair FU * 361 triple hair FU Extraction performed with a 0.9mm FUE punch with CIT Manual Punch Handle. No microscopic preparation of the follicular unit grafts (FUE); Parallel incisions (single, double and triple units) were made in custom-sized blades technique (~Cutting Edge blades of 0.8mm – 0.9mm) 2nd procedure (December 8th, 2014): A Follicular Unit Extraction with 2134 FU * 400 single hair FU * 1420 double hair FU * 314 triple hair FU Extraction performed with a 0.85mm FUE punch with CIT Manual Punch Handle.
