With your age and it looking like you wont need another HT for many years - if ever - I am curious why you decided FUT v FUE. You look quite dense in the back half, sides, and crown as best as one can tell with the shorter hair with the lighting. Jan 2016 - 3800 graft FUT with Dr. Konior NW 5A to 6. I iced my forehead a lot but neglected under my eyes so I didnt have much swelling at the top of head but puffed up under my eyes and even had some yellow skin as it was like I was in a fight. Then it actually moved all the way down to my jowels for a day or two. It should all clear up by day 7. Just keep icing. Jan 2016 - 3800 graft FUT with Dr. Konior NW 5A to 6. Following Dr. Rahal's post op instructions to the tee. Got some info back today from Kamila, my personal patient care provider. Graft Count: Total Grafts: 3185 Total Hairs: 6600 1's: 499 2's: 2016 3's: 611 4's: 59 Size of donor area in back of my head: 28.0cm2 --------- Density Numbers: 3185 grafts transplanted to an overall area (frontal third / hairline [zone 1], going mainly around my forelock but some inside too to combat any potential permanent shock loss perhaps?) of 49cm2, for an overall density of 51 grafts/cm2 --------- In the "money area" :-) ----> remembering my pre-op pics with the frontal forelock... -- the right side of my hairline is 7cm2, and Dr. Rahal used 425 grafts there, resulting in a density of 60 grafts/cm2. -- the left side of my hairline is 5cm2, and 300 grafts were placed there for a density of 60 grafts/cm2 As I've mentioned earlier, Dr. Rahal referred to my hair as being "very fine" caliber, so we shall see. To be honest, I've only been looking at my hair when spraying it with ATP and while cleaning it. I've learned on here to just leave it be. i'll post a 1 month update, then nothing until 4 months, 6 months, 9 months, etc.... --- Would love to hear from any "fine caliber" guys who've managed to get good results with the premier doctors... Any feedback on these numbers would be nice. (and yes i realize my mid-scalp is miniaturizing!! Ugh, but I've been on 1mg finasteride from age 24 until now (41) so perhaps i'll be heading back to butt-ass-freezing Ottowa in a few years... Today is one month and I look a bit worse than pre-op, because frontal forelock (natural hair) is having trouble keeping up with the rest of my natural hair. This is because forelock was in high trauma surgical area, right? Anybody know?.... My sides grew much faster than the existing hair in the recepient area with some shock loss occurring as well. I'm almost 3 months post-op now and only just starting to look the same as I did pre-op.
