Senior Member Billena Posted February 9, 2016 Senior Member Share Posted February 9, 2016 Patients are not required to shave their head during a hair restoration surgery procedure. When operating slowly and carefully, navigating between pre-existing hairs at their natural length is achievable. This allows patients to more comfortably and discretely return to work and/or social activities within a week to 10 days after the procedure. This video depicts a 28-year-old male who underwent a 2100-graft follicular unit transplantation (FUT) procedure with Carlos K. Wesley, MD in NYC. He can be seen before, during, and a few weeks and months after the procedure that was coupled with PRP treatment. All the while, his pre-existing hair is kept at its natural length. To critically view this patient's transformation, a sliding feature can be used to compare the superimposed images from before his procedure and his early results only five (5) months later.
