You need a full refund for this terrible result then you can go see another doctor about fixing it. Awful.

Thats true. But i can't say anything without talking to him. He might offer me another surgery instead of refund which is not worth for me to get my HT done from the same doctor.

This isn't just a full refund case. This is a medical malpractice case. Look at his donor area. There's nothing left to harvest. This warrants a full refund, removal from any recommended list, and a subsidized repair with a surgeon of the patient's choosing. This is not a case of "Well, he just didn't get great growth." His donor was destroyed with little to show for it.

I would love to do something like that. Firstly, i dont know who should i consult to discuss this issue regarding the refund. Secondly, i would never let me try for the third time on me.

I think this is a full refund case and malpractice case. That donor has been distinctly compromised. There are few docs that can repair donor with beard hairs successfully. I would try to get a refund, file a case with the med boards, write to county officials, and etc even talk to newspaper or media if this is not remeddied. Yay chutyapa wala kaam hua hay

I finally got the HT done with Dr. Bhatti in Chandhigarh. 1600 grafts were done, most of them were from the beard and chest since I did not have much left at the donor area because of overharvesting by previous doctor 2 times with no growth on the front. Moreover, I am thankful to 'Shera' for getting me a 50%dscount. Being student it is difficult to afford a lot of money.

You were a Norwood 1.. You just wanted to lower it?

I don't think SatinderSooch can be categorised as a Norwood 1, he was suffering from Sikh Pattern Traction Alopecia which means his hairloss was caused by the constant pulling and tying of his hair in a tight knot over a long number of years since his childhood. This is different to genetic baldness.

Therefore his natural hairline would probably have been lower than the one just created, I think this level of baldness actually far exceeds a Norwood 1, more like a Norwood 3/4.

This is the scenario that will give me nightmares if/when I get a HT done. I haven't even been thinking about an HT with this particular doctor and already I am having second thoughts...scary. The loss of donor area, money down the drain, depression and worst of all certain members with the well crap happens move on attitude...although I am glad some of the other members did come to the poor guys support and called it what it is. Medical malpractice...suing the doc in India is straight laughable. I have seen failures from docs not on the coveted golden boy surgeon list and their failures aren't this bad...

Finally a word about SIKH PATTERN TRACTION ALOPECIA. I think this might be a unique condition where failure data is not readily available and perhaps the years of traction damages the implantable area that even transplanted hair have a hard time growing. The surgeon should have taken a very very conservative approach not butchered his donor area.

In the end a truly credible doctor offered this man a lifeline. Did Kapil Dua offer any type of compensation or refund?

Hi Satinder,

I'm so glad you are happy with your repair surgery from Dr Bhatti and that you appear to have your confidence back. I'm sure Dr Bhatti and the team will be ecstatic.

It does appear that near on 100% of the grafts implanted by Dr Bhatti seem to have grown out. This does eliminate the theory of bad skin tissue caused by Sikh Alopecia being the possible cause of the 2 previously failed surgeries you had, as mentioned on a previous post.

Anyway, time to move on and enjoy your life.

All the best my friend..

Shera

I hope that the Sikhs will stop tying those knots in their hair. Has anyone talked to them about the problem?

Its a tight knot that causes the problem. Otherwise a man bun is very much in fashion!

Hairlines are challenging to restore due to scarring under the skin.
