As someone who’s had two surgeries with Dr. Diep, I can assure you this is not true. Techs play a major role as they should since hair restoration is a team effort. However, the graft scoring and recipient sites are done by Dr. Diep, the implantation is done by the techs. Often times patients are asleep for the bulk of the procedure, waking up once the grafts are being implanted, so it’s understandable that some patients may feel this way, but that’s not reality. I was awake for most of my second procedure so I saw the process personally. I’m a paid admin for Hair Transplant Network. I do not receive any compensation from any clinic.
