It makes sense that the wool would have snagged some grafts. That's too bad. A hair transplant is too expensive to lose grafts. Hopefully they didn't lose any. - 1st Transplant: 5,485 grafts with Dr Jerry Wong 2nd Transplant: 3,100 grafts with Dr Jerry Wong 3rd Transplant: 5,035 grafts with Dr Sanusi Umar My Hair Loss Website - Hair Transplant with Dr. Wong
Regular Member FollicularlyChallengedScar Posted May 17, 2009 Regular Member Share Posted May 17, 2009 Wouldn't the doctor or the patient have been able to tell if the wool cap (which I agree should not be worn immediately post-op) pulled out any grafts by the presence of any blood, scabs and/or grafts on the wool cap? Senior Member FacelessMan Posted May 19, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted May 19, 2009 I'd definitely recommend a large, loose-fitting hat/cap. That said, I didn't wear one for either of my procedures...after the first, I had temple-point work that a hat would have harmed, and after the second, I was going straight to my car, and then back home, so I didn't worry about it. Good luck! Benjamin My Blog -- Hair Transplant with Dr. Feller My Personal Hair Transplant Blog

Regular Member jceaves Posted November 15, 2014 Regular Member Share Posted November 15, 2014 I tried on a few Stetson newsboy caps this summer. A few models are floppy enough to leave my scalp plenty of breathing room. I found the silk tweed models to be light and very comfortable. Transplant happening with Dr. Hasson this Thursday - I plan to get a couple.

Regular Member jceaves Posted November 28, 2014 Regular Member Share Posted November 28, 2014 Oh, yeah, people always say I look like Statham. It gets old... I Googled "Stetson driver's cap", and lo and behold, it returned a picture of me in my Merc!
Regular Member Angelino Posted December 2, 2014 Regular Member Share Posted December 2, 2014 I had to loosen the baseball cap all the way to even get it on my head. And even then it would only fit on the very top. So I wore a bandana under it, and loosened that too. It didn't look natural at all, but it was enough for me to get back home.
