Regular Member DancesWithHair Posted August 31, 2015 Regular Member Share Posted August 31, 2015 The hairline looks natural, I must ask though, when the Doctor uses beard hairs does he mix them in the with the normal hair or use them all in a selected area? I don't see any scars from the extraction. Nice work.

I don't see any scars from the extraction. Nice work. Hi DancesWithHair, Thank you for your kind words. Dr. Bhatti mixes body hair with the scalp hair. For example, in a 25 year old Patient with a Type 3 vertex pattern, he would plant scalp hair within the first 1.5 cm along the hairline, mix scalp grafts with beard grafts in a laid down optimal ratio till the highest point of the head. For the crown area he would encourage the Patient to accept a lower density preferably with chest grafts or chest grafts with a sprinkling of scalp grafts. He does not use beard hair for the crown area. It is only to be used for the mid-scalp and just behind the hairline. Please let me know if you have any other questions. Senior Member Dr Tejinder Bhatti Posted October 30, 2015 Senior Member Share Posted October 30, 2015 very nice transformaton. welldone Dr. Bhatti, one question though. why not beard hairs for the crown? Hello Mr. Harin, Thank you for your comment and your question. The beard can be a wonderful source of donor hair for those that have not enough scalp hair. It is the heartiest of donor hairs outside of the scalp region. The problem for many patients is that beard hair is more coarse than scalp hair and is often a different texture and sometimes even a different color. In cases such as the one above beard hair should not be used exclusively in the crown as it would not produce as natural a result as would a combination of beard/scalp or beard/chest hair, assuming the chest hair is of a finer caliber. I hope this answers your question to your satisfaction.

Regular Member Fueforme333 Posted March 20, 2018 Regular Member Share Posted March 20, 2018 Would manual punch be best for this situation? Do you know which doctors are best at extractions from the chin? Thanks
