Regular Member raximobmobb Posted May 14, 2015 Regular Member Share Posted May 14, 2015 Noticed this recently and have been worried since. Wondering if it is either a bald spot or a natural hair whurl and i have no reason to worry? The only male member of my family who is bald is my uncle, and my father has a natural high hairline. Any feedback would be great.
Senior Member Cant decide Posted May 14, 2015 Senior Member Share Posted May 14, 2015 I vote Whurl but a very small part of me is unsure. Keep an eye on it over time...But don't get obsessed with it My Hairloss Web Site - Procedure #1: 5229 Grafts with Dr. Rahal Oct, 2010 Procedure #2: 2642 Grafts with Dr. Rahal Aug, 2013 7871 Grafts http://www.hairtransplantnetwork.com/blog/home-page.asp?WebID=2452

Senior Member Spanker Posted May 14, 2015 Senior Member Share Posted May 14, 2015 Whorl. I have a similar spot. It's very off center, like mine. Patterned baldness is usually more symmetrical to the traditional balding pattern. I see no loss. Senior Member win200 Posted May 15, 2015 Senior Member Share Posted May 15, 2015 Whorl. Mine is almost EXACTLY like that; a little off center, see-through scalp. It's stayed exactly the same since I first noticed it in college (I'm now 32). Some people have those nice, tight whorls that have perfect scalp coverage, but others sort of splay in all directions and show some scalp. I'd be shocked if that's a bald spot opening up. Senior Member Garageland Posted May 15, 2015 Senior Member Share Posted May 15, 2015 I also think it is a whorl. Senior Member BaldingBogger Posted May 15, 2015 Senior Member Share Posted May 15, 2015 Have you always had it? The balding in my crown started out exactly like this for a few years .. The reason why i knew it was the start of thinning is previously my hair covered the area totally.
Senior Member pkipling Posted May 15, 2015 Senior Member Share Posted May 15, 2015 Based on the placement alone, I vote whorl as well. It's very off centered and would be a strange place for balding to start - almost in the back of your head. I'd really be surprised if it turned out to be balding. On a side note - you seriously do have a great head of hair - making lots of us guys on the board quite envious, I'm sure. I am a patient advocate for Dr. Parsa Mohebi in Los Angeles, CA. Regular Member raximobmobb Posted May 15, 2015 Author Regular Member Share Posted May 15, 2015 From what I can remember I've always had one. In some pictures it's a little more obvious and on others you can't even see it.
