Regular Member bayday Posted January 9, 2009 Regular Member Share Posted January 9, 2009 for us men in our 50s would the idea of salvaging or restoring our hair be lessened? My hair is very thinned and receded with a medium spot in the back Thanks guys
Senior Member dabuski Posted January 9, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted January 9, 2009 Why would it be lessened. Age is no barrier in any goal as long as the will is there. Research a physician from the many recommended on this network if a HT is your preferred route. If you want to give medication a try Finasteride, Minoxidil and to a lesser extent Nizoral shampoo can be potentially beneficial. You need to give these at least six months to gauge any effect. All the best with your decisions.

Regular Member celeb hair vet Posted January 9, 2009 Regular Member Share Posted January 9, 2009 Nothing to worry about! In fact, you've got some built in advantages: 1. People expect mid age men to have thinner hair! You can recess your hairline and get good coverage over a small area and look perfectly fine. 2. Gray/silver hair is the best color for tranplanted hair in contrast against the scalp. 3. Dont worry about the crown. Get one procedure in the front, and youre set, no more sessions needed. 4. from what you've said you've got a virgin scalp so youre in good shape. If you'd gone bald earlier, you'd probably have bad hair plugs. hardcore long-term veteran of hack plug doctors to ultra refined coalition doctors. knowledgeable about show business hair transplants

Regular Member LaGrange Posted January 10, 2009 Regular Member Share Posted January 10, 2009 Have a look at my blog, I had my first one done at age 51, then the crown at 52, now 53 and happier than a pig in dirt.
