Dr. Friedman performed a FUT on a 56 year old female who desired a dense and fuller mid-section. Dr Friedman successfully transplanted 1,852 grafts. 143 single follicles were placed in the patient’s post hairline. 1,709 follicular units were placed in the patient’s posterior hairline, frontal region and mid scalp posterior. Dr. Friedman created customized blades and strategically placed each follicular unit at the precise angle creating the patient’s transplanted grafts to grow along with the patient’s natural hair pattern. This patient had a previous FUT hair transplant with Dr. Shelly Friedman in 2002.

 

Photos show our patient one day after surgery, 5 months post-op and 1 year post-op. After surgery, our patient followed up with 10 sessions of low-level laser therapy to support the healing process by increasing blood flow to the transplanted areas. With Dr. Friedman’s recommendation our patient began using low-level laser therapy every other day for 30 minutes to stop future hair loss.
