2075 FUE graft with Dr. Konior

For instance, when I went back April 15 (which he only worked on my temple points), I only averaged 1.0....which was the whole plan on temple points (775 grafts....all singles).

I had another transplant with Dr. K on December 1.....just under 1,200 grafts...for about 2,600 hairs (so about 2.2 hairs there)....all in the first 2cm of the hairline. They were maybe 800 2-hair grafts and 300 3-hair grafts.

Yes putting 3 or 4 hair FUs into temple points would be... not good.

Are you going again in May or did someone cancel so you could get in on Dec 1?

Did you have to shave the recepient area for the Dec 1 so he could get in there? I ask because its a shame all that hair growth has to restart if you did.

2.2 is still pretty good - it would be higher end for a FUT. Maybe he used a lot of your 4s in session 1 and ran out hah. I just saw a Cooley FUT from mid 2015 where guy had 4s and even 5s... was 2.35 with a FUT.

You guys that dont have to worry about the crown or back of scalp too much have a big advantage but even for us with much worse cases I think there is a big case to be made to get a lot of density in a very conservative hairline (and sacrifice elsewhere) because it gives you styling options and frankly that is where you are viewed from 80% of the time. Food for thought for those of us who have bigger real estate projects to deal with.

Jan 2016 - 3800 graft FUT with Dr. Konior

NW 5A to 6.

Docs whose results I am most consistently impressed with: Konior, Cooley (FUT), Hasson (FUT), Diep (FUE) (yeah I like the zig zag).

No, someone canceled so I was able to move up. I did shave....wasn't a big deal to me. I am self-employed and work from home so almost literally never have to do my hair if I don't want to. I think my ideal length is 1 inch to 1.5 inches....so it's really only 2-3 months of growth.

I had a quite a few 5's in my first one.

Again, we only went in the first 1.5 cm on the December 1 one....you really don't want to use 4's that far up....you want to keep those for areas further back. I think 2's and 3's are ideal there in the area right behind the initial single hair hairline.

Amazing results, Matt! Definitely trooped out a ride with 3 procedures. Any new updates since December? I just had my first procedure with Dr. Konior and contemplating my second!

Hey matt! thanks for all the great info and sharing the journey. I know you are living the dream at this point, but any chance you could give a quick update? I go in for my procedure in 3 weeks, am getting basically the same thing done (with the same number of grafts) and would love to see the final product after 2 years. Thanks so much!

Hey there, welcome. All is good! Dr. K posted some pics in August on here of when I went to see him then. Check through my posts and you should able to find it. I'm going to get one last small procedure in the next couple of months by Dr. K just to basically finish everything off. I have the donor left so I might as well take advantage....:D

I think as my pics in August showed....the more amazing part is how the donor area was managed. I have seen some surgeons take 600-700 grafts and totally screw up a donor area and make it look really thin. Dr. K has taken 4,000 or so grafts and you really just can't tell at all in the donor.....
