ace951
Im considering in taking the Hair Regenaration treatment offered by Dr. Amiya Prasad, his treatment promises to thicken thinning hair and states that it is a standalone procedure with a duration of 3-5 years or maybe more (since that is the time he says he has been administering and monitoring the results of the treatment). He seem s to be a serious doctor and is well regarded in the internet, I would like to know if anyone knows anything about the veracity of the treatment, as well as if there are any possible side effects or shedding related to this type of procedures (prp + acell+vitamin d) here is his page Hair Restoration | Hair regrowth - New York

Senior Member TakingThePlunge Posted April 1, 2015 Senior Member Share Posted April 1, 2015 Looks like this is nothing more than ACell and PRP along with Vitamin D. While a number of recommended physicians use these treatments as adjuncts to hair transplant surgery or as stand alone treatments, I have not seen anyone claiming such dramatic hair growth results from them. Hair Regeneration is a non-surgical treatment for thinning hair and hair loss hair that makes use of adult stem cell based wound-healing properties developed by hair restoration specialist, Dr. Amiya Prasad, MD.Dr. Prasad’s Hair Regeneration is customized in terms of concentrations, areas treated, depth of treatment and technique. The materials used for Dr. Prasad’s Hair Regeneration treatment include: Extracellular Matrix (ECM) — a wound healing material that attracts increased blood supply and adult stem cells, which duplicates human tissue like skin and muscle. When used in treating hair loss, ECM appears to clinically restore the necessary cells (progenitor cells) responsible for healthy hair growth. Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) — the isolated serum derived from a patient’s own blood which contains regenerative healing and growth factors. PRP is used in regenerative medicine applications in oral surgery, orthopedic surgery and cosmetic surgery. Vitamin D — the nutrient, demonstrated by University of Tokyo, to increase transformation of cells in tissue culture to transplantable hair follicles. Other materials customized to the patient’s cause of hair loss such as anti-inflammatory medication. David - Former Forum Co-Moderator and Editorial Assistant I am not a medical professional. Senior Member jjsrader Posted May 9, 2018 Senior Member Share Posted May 9, 2018 He's overpriced in Manhattan - lots of hype. Have REAL consults w/Cooley and the doctor who can't be named in Atlanta for PRP w/Acell.
