Senior Member ArochaInfo Posted January 30, 2015 Senior Member Share Posted January 30, 2015 (edited) This gentlemen came into AHR wanting to restore his hairline and crown. Dr. Arocha performed an FUE procedure and was able to make a previous FUT scar (performed by another Hair Transplant clinic) disappear through transplantation of the follicular units obtained through the FUE harvesting procedure. Senior Member Gram Posted January 30, 2015 Senior Member Share Posted January 30, 2015 Very impressive. The after pic denotes one week after procedure. Is that accurate? Great in that there is no redness, but is this perhaps misleading in that scar tissue is notoriously poor at retaining grafts? Lastly is this beard or scalp hair? How many grafts? Thank you very much for sharing.
Dr. Bernardino Arocha
Gram, Thanks for viewing and commenting! It sure is one week after a 3500 FUE procedure. Hair transplanted into scar usually grows well, but requires special approach. One also needs to monitor vascular supply to the scar tissue carefully. This was a scalp donor case, and the scar require a few hundred FUs. Have an excellent weekend!
