Senior Member Ali Emre Karadeniz Posted January 27, 2015 Senior Member Share Posted January 27, 2015 26 year old patient with currently Norwood 3V-4, but a developing Norwood 5-6 hair loss. The patient refused FUT and wanted the crown transplanted despite the risks explained. The patient started using 1mg finasteride a day. 3475 Grafts FUE was performed using a 0.8 mm sharp punch at a 4 mm depth. The graft distribution was as follows: 1's:820, 2's:1775, 3's: 890 A high hairline was designed considering the patients young age. 2600-2700 grafts were placed at the front using coronal incisions and 800-900 grafts were placed at the crown using sagittal incisions. Custom made pre cut blades were used: 0.6mm for 1's, 0.8mm for 2's and 1mm for 3's. Senior Member hadenough2014 Posted January 27, 2015 Senior Member Share Posted January 27, 2015 Great job, Dr. K. Looks super natural. Would be interesting to see in another 3-6 months if that crown comes in even better. Still pretty early to see full crown results.

As you mentioned, we need to update the forum at 10-12 months to see how much the crown improves. Senior Member harin Posted May 17, 2015 Senior Member Share Posted May 17, 2015 crown looks okay in my opinion. He will need another session to fill in his left frontal area so that it doesn't look all combed over. But great results, excellent work doc. But great results, excellent work doc.agreed crown needs anther 500 or so grafts but other then that looks pretty good. I'm sure the patient is happy and at his age maybe the crown isn't an issue. JoeTillman
The crown, in my opinion, is a borderline isssue. I agree that 500 grafts would make a big difference but it's nice that it's more of an option, not a necessity which kind of speaks positive about the efficiency of the distribution. Senior Member Yiddo Posted May 18, 2015 Senior Member Share Posted May 18, 2015 Looks a really good result. I've been trying to find out dr karadeniz clinic prices. Anybody able to help?
JoeTillman
Hi Yiddo, Dr. K's pricing is pretty simple. €2000 Euro per procedure plus €1.00 per graft. This is a sliding scale which equals.... €3000.00 for 1000 grafts €4000.00 for 2000 grafts €5000.00 for 3000 grafts €6000.00 for 4000 grafts. Plus VAT This applies to both FUE and FUSS respectively and is all inclusive of airport transfers and five star hotel accomodations. I'm about to test this out myself on May 20th when I arrive in Istanbul and I'll be documenting the entire experience.

Senior Member paddyirishman Posted May 19, 2015 Senior Member Share Posted May 19, 2015 Better to leave the crown alone for now and save those doner grafts for the future as the guy is still very young. All the best.............................Paddy

Senior Member ontop Posted May 20, 2015 Senior Member Share Posted May 20, 2015 That's a very nice result Doc. I feel there is a little more gains to be come, over the next 6 mths for the crown & being he's is on Fin could reap the rewards even more. Its just a matter where he is at on the 18mth mark esp for the crown area as for whatever reason seems to lag. But overall a good outcome for this young chap. Please keep us posted if you can. Joe....where you flying from Canada or US? Look forward to your update of how your travel went over there.
JoeTillman
Ontop, Sorry, only just now saw this. I flew from Canada since I live in Vancouver. I'm still traveling (I'm in Milan now) and I'll be home later this week. I've started some preliminary editing so I hope to have something ready next week.
