Great work Dr. Lindsey. Are these results typical? If so, what do you attribute to your success?

I don't know if there is any "typical" result when putting hair into scarred up scalp. These are however the most recent 14 people that we've done who have at least a year followup. I've had good and mediocre results in the past putting hair into scar filled scalp tissue, and I think the thing we do differently now is cutting the grafts a bit chunckier....and making the recipient slits larger, but still packing pretty tightly. I think this is very similar to planting hardier trees in Virginia clay. You simply have to leave a bunch of native dirt on the root balls with real trees, so I extrapolated to hair. Seems to be working.
