TonyR2
Fellas. 16 months post-op. Pleased with the hair growth but as you can see in pic: recipient area scalp still red/pink, getting frequent white flaking (little and bigger ones), some inflamed hair follicles as well. Any tips? Appreciate it.
Senior Member gillenator Posted January 15, 2015 Senior Member Share Posted January 15, 2015 Talk with your doc about using a topical cream steroid which can help reduce the lingering redness as well as reduce the inflammatory sensations. Senior Member hadenough2014 Posted January 15, 2015 Senior Member Share Posted January 15, 2015 At this point I would probably go to a dermatologist. Shouldn't be red and shouldn't have flaking at 16 months. Might be something related but possibly more serious (and probably treatable) starting up like TE or dermatitis. You wouldn't want to lose you new found hair now. If I were you, I would go get it checked out.
TonyR2
Thanks HadEnough2014. My HT doc prescribed me a topical acne lotion called clindamycin phosphate 1% and also Ketoconazole 2% shampoo. Fingers crossed, thanks for your reply.
